What's up with Northerner and UPS customs/brokerage fees?

I don't know why anyone would use northerner over buysnus. Unless you REALLY need some lime los or odens extreme kola which i havent tried but all the other cola's ive had have tasted like battery acid. Or i guess the northerner boost purified portions. It even lets you know what you can add before upping the shipping price. I threw in a bag of some kind of turkish pepper swedish candy last time.

Also how is shipping from sweden cheaper than shipping from the U.S? A lot of online retialers (not of snus) will ship you shit for free if it hits a certain dollar amount in the U.S because shipping within the U.S is cheap. They ship from EU because it is cheaper for their EU customers that can legally get snus. It's fine if thats a bigger and more profitable marketplace but don't charge me more and tell me you're saving me money.

Totally agree... I always thought Northerner's shipping was super high, but now with this random UPS brokerage fees coming a week later on top of it all (worth half the value of your order), it's insanity. Definitely gonna find a way to order from buysnus. I emailed about the age verification not working and they want me to fax them a copy of my ID... That kinda sucks. Not very safe/secure/private. But what can you do...

I am sure someone on here said to ignore the brokerage fees and they just go away? I don't know as i'm not in the US but if you search the threads (may even be this one) I am sure I read it somewhere.

Seems like a good idea... but I'd be afraid they'd pass it along to collections and/or mark it as unpaid taxes somehow, etc. That could be a much larger pain than the original cost. That's why it's such a mess.

I've gotten it a couple of times. Once with BuySnus for some reason (it was under $10 each time) and I promptly put it in file 13. No problems so far.

Got my snus from Northerner today. Ordered it Monday. Gee. That was FAST! Now just ignore if somebody wants more money, which surely would have blown my mind, a week from now- IF that happens in Oregon USA.

If you get time, report back if UPS mails you with customs/duties/ brokerage fees; I'm curious how often this is happening. It never used to happen to me on Northerner orders but since they say something has "changed" in shipping recently, I'm curious.

They used to ship the US orders from within the US IIRC.

I know buysnus uses DDP (delivery-duty paid) shipping. I havent kept up with what northerner does since they had someone come on here spouting about how awesome a company they transformed to over night after leaving hundreds of people without orders for months. What a terrible company with an incredibly difficult to navigate website.

I got mine as well. The order seems fine, but I'll report back in if I get a customs bill. About the expired snus: Half was assorted Jaks strong portions, the other half was Nord 66 white strong. Both just expired a couple of weeks ago, so it's still fine.

Not a bad selection of expired considering it always used to be thunder, offroad and phantom! (whenever I got the expired snus it was anyway).

I would have loved to get expired rolls of thunder/offroad frosted for 10 bucks....yeah last time i got phantom or rothbrix can't even think of what the hell its called are they the same company?
Would have rather just sent them the money and gotten no product like most times you order from northerner.
