The US warehouse isn't going anywhere, lol. Retail distribution wasn't a "fail", they made a business decision (and a good one) to turn the retail distribution over to a company that does this everyday, you guys don't know the details of that deal, well...simply because you don't need to. I don't know what's happening with the shipping cost issues, but let's wait and see before the speculation get's out of hand here, lol

Obviously I haven't been to see if its real or not since I have been burned before but if its legit at least there is one place to get real snus from that doesn't also cost me a tank of gas!

Good idea. I have at least 5 gas stations within 10 miles that sell General now. I didn't have any less than a year ago. General does get old after a while but I still hope to place an order for other brands once in a blue moon just to have something to add to my rotation. This will especially be true during a good sale. Other than that, I refuse to spend $30 to have a small package shipped to me.

Maybe if we are lucky, we will see Ettan los at a gas station one day.

I agree, has happened to me at least twice. But actually this is a Shell station I gas up at frequently so it wouldn't hurt to walk in and check instead of paying at the pump

well, I can't really argue with this statement. What I was saying wasn't a fail is the US distribution. Now, I'll agree they need to communicate better with their customer base. Where's that PR guy, I'll be he knows ;-)

GoVegan...that's pretty high shipping, from anywhere. Think it's a glitch? I've made some calls to try and find out what's going on, but they're at a trade show and haven't called back yet. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

Oh, and Jags....what I was saying was that the details of that particular business decision were need to know....not that they shouldn't communicate logistical issues with their customers.

OK - so now I am at $5.65 a can and I havent even paid federal or state tax yet. In a word, this is INSANE. The shipping charges and the collection of taxes were my primary reasons for using Northerner. I love the speed of the UPS service but I would rather pay less and get my snus order in a week or two. I do have a feeling this is the end of snus in America as we know it. I would not feel good about trying to turn someone on to snus only to have them find out they have to pay their left nut just to get the product delivered. Hopefully, General will gain enough of a foothold here to want to stay. Only then, will snus have even a small chance of making it here.

It has been that way for a while now. It is routine to pay $30-$40 to have snus shipped here if we order it from Europe. Northerner made it a bit more reasonable by charging about 1/2 of that amount. Now that is gone. I tried an ecig at my brother in laws house a few months ago. Not great but not bad. I have a feeling the way to go might be to use General OP most of the time and then have an ecig once in a while to change the routine.

Soon - it will be more cost effective to use crack.

Whats ironic is that UPS tries to deliver the snus during the hours most people are working. How can anyone not working afford to pay those shipping charges?

It's one of those things that makes you thing, whhaaaaaa??? I think they rely on on you making so much money your OH doesn't need to work so will be at home all day, which is flawed logic!

Exactly, I have to take a half day holiday to go to the dentist for a checkup! They never work weekends, but, unfortunately, I need to work during the week, so dental trip are few and far between. if I lived closer to work I could just got first or last thing, but I want my particular dentist, and I don;t want to live close to work, i like where I live!
