ok it sucks big time. Why oh why did they have to change the site? And I'm REALLY pissed off about my points. I wouldn't mind loseing a few points but I had about 1500 points and in my mind that equals at least $60 that was apparently stolen from me. They could have at least warned us to use our points or lose em. This site is hard as hell to use. I just don't understand why it was changed.

Now I'm a GOLD member but I see no discount or any benefit to that. Give me back my points please.

Theres going to be a shit-ton of questions about how to manuver the site and the prices. I will tell you that once you put an item in your cart the tax is added on automatically and there is no notification of this anywhere. I placed an order so I could get the freebie 5 tins of jaks and when I went to pay I'm going thru the procedure and I click on mastercard then click on pay and suddenly my order was placed. WHICH CREDIT CARD DID THEY TAKE THE MONEY FROM??? I never put in any card number!! I never recieved a confirmation email either. But the order is in my order history. I hope this helps answer some of the questions.

Not sure if anyone noticed this on the new and improved Northerner webstore But apparently they have a new bonus system.... From their new site:

Bronze, Silver or Gold?

With our new site we are introducing a brand new bonus system. The days of bonus points are gone along with the old shop. From now on the bonus system will consist of a three step ladder called Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Bronze membership is the first level and as soon as you have made an order you will be promoted to the bronze level.

Silver membership is the second step and to achieve silver membership you need to have made 5 orders during one year. The silver membership unlocks greater benefits then the bronze membership.

Gold membership is the highest membership level and once you have made 10 orders during a one year period you will be invited to the gold membership club. The gold membership unlocks the greatest privileges.

We hope that you will find the new bonus system to be better and more beneficial for you as a customer as well as more easy to use then the old one.


Hmmm! It doesn't mention what happens to all the points you currently have.... IMHO those should count and be transfered towards one of those memberships and if they don't IMHO I think it's pretty shady of them and goes along with all the other bad business practices that Northerner is now famous for....

Sounds like to me that this new bonus system is better and more beneficial for Northerner by screwing people out of thier previous bonus points...

Side note: And what the hell does membership unlocks greater benefits mean and membership unlocks the greatest privileges mean... What benefits? What privileges? I want to know how much, What discount... What the hell does this mean?

I have decided that I don't like the new website at all, It's hard to navigate and figure out... I wouldn't even try to order anything off of it.... Hell Man! They couldn't even run the old one right... I'm staying far away from it.

The only thing that does surprise me is that people are surprised by this... I just don't understand why anyone would even order from this hack website right now.

Nor do I. It's been a while since I ordered from them anyway so it doesn't really affect me that much. However I was thinking about ordering from the Snuson shop to get the free shipping but that may be a risk since they go through Northerner. I feel like I might be better off ordering somewhere else and maybe get 4 less cans for $110.00 but know they will be at my house by Tuesday not hope I might get them next week.

As I look at the cancelled order, I see the taxes aren't recorded separately, and are added into the total price of each roll. And I would have been charged $1.83 tax for the free 5-pack.

I just noticed if I hit the "+" symbol on the order, it shows me exactly what tax I paid. Had the order been processed I would have been correctly charged, but it's certainly a bug on their part that the prices aren't listed correctly when you start your order. I'll order from them when they get this all figured out, and in the meanwhile I hope they don't charge my credit card.

But as I noted earlier, it gave me an error message and didn't complete the transaction.
