Snap. But when john ordered his pioneer from the US the only postal option was regular US mail, i've just had the same when i did my order for 6 cans of Pioneer from the US warehouse, it was sent out today so i really hope i dont get bad luck like that because i'm really skint and can't afford to lose the money. I've got my fingers crossed now haha

Best of luck John, I hope you get it sorted soon

I'm gonna use the moment and ask if there is a possibility of splitting orders? For example let's say I have ordered 20 cans of snus in total of 40€, but customs here will tax the shipments with overall value of 21 eur, so is it possible to split the order and send it in 2 separate packages with both having value of 20€. Most of the time I can't even order a roll, usually it goes over the 21€ limit by few cents, but tax here for 10 cans is 18€.

But to the topic- I have no complaints with useing Northener and as I can order from US warehouse only I have always got mi packages with regular mail, and few times even more than I ordered, hehe
That would be a great option..........pay the extra shipping but not the high customs.....and still get the 10 can pricing

Sounds like just adding a software button

that is..............provided they have the man power to cover the extra work...............which may be why you don't already see it available
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I'll be honest, I don't know. Remember, I run the US distribution and have nothing to do with the online shops...however, I do know a few people :-)

Your question would best be answered by customer service at the time you place your order, or shortly after. Let me say this though...I thought I remember someone in the warehouse saying that they were doing this for EU orders, but I won't attest to it in a court of law, lol. You should ask one of the customer service people. Sorry I couldn't answer your question better

Thanks Rick! Before ordering next time I'll contact them, and see what will happen, would be good if they are able to do this, especially with "order 10 get 2 free" offers, cause I can usually fit 8-9 cans in one order. As of right now I'm waiting for the next mystery can or some other really cheap offer to come lol

Well - just an update - still nothing

I did PM Rick - he was very nice about it and promised to defend my corner, nice chap. But it's a good 12 days since then - no original order ... no replacement order ... the recent posts about changes to Northerner's US to UK postage charges & numbers of cans make me think that this route of ordering is a no go for us now - probably due to a change in the way UK customs deals with tobacco coming in from the US.

I would like to change the title of this thread to make it look less bad for Northerner if I could - but I can't. It's obvious that Northerner - or at least some people who are associated with them have tried to make good on a problem encountered. But it seems they can't. They should probably just give up on taking orders from the UK for their US based snus - I don't think it's worth taking the risk with an order like that.

Shame - I really wanted to try Pioneer.

Did anyone contact you after I contacted them? If so, PM me and let me know what was said, etc. Thanks

                      However ...

I ordered four cans of Pioneer from their US web shop at the end of November on the good recommendations here and because I like to try out new stuff. When it hadn't arrived by the beginning of January I figured it wasn't just Christmas getting in the way and as I'd had no correspondence from customs, it hadn't got tied up there. So I sent an email asking where it was.

I was told that it was sent on 2nd Dec and should be with me in 7-10 working days ... I replied that it had been 35 days - wasn't it about time to suspect something had gone wrong with the order and sort this out. AND I GOT THIS REPLY - I HAVE NEVER SEEN CUSTOMER SERVICE SO BLATANTLY AWFUL:

                      Dear John Spiers,

I am sorry that you do not have any word about your order yet. Unfortunately your order has not been returned to us at this time. If it is returned, we will be more than glad to reship at your cost for reshipping.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please feel free to contact me.

                      Thank you, Amy
And that's it. It's my fault that I didn't receive the goods and I have to bear the full expense of the missing goods or the cost of shipping (for snus which will undoubtedly have gone bad after more than a month in the post) if it turns out that the postal service have just made a mistake and sent the snus back to the US. That makes absolutely no sense to me at all for such a small order.

Sorry Northerner! I think that's it, decision made. I was already suspicious of their tactic of buying up other snus online shops and becoming so powerful, but when they get so complacent that they will not se-send a 4 can order that has been messed up because they don't offer a traceable service for US based stock back to Europe then SORRY - I cannot carry on dealing with a company that DOESN'T HAVE PRIDE IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. There are alternatives.

THIS IS A COMPANY I SPENT OVER $1000 WITH LAST YEAR FOR GOD'S SAKE!

Sorry for the rant! It's made me so cross.
I got to this thread late but from what I can see Northerner did nothing wrong. When we English snusers order from their American Warehouse we are lucky in that we get cheap shipping however as you know this is not a trackable shipping service. If you did want a tracked shipment the cost would be too much. The reason American customers get a UPS tracking service is because that is the law in America for tobacco deliveries.

In my experience with northerner one package I ordered from their American warehouse a year or so ago went missing and although the goods were not (a trackable to be signed for package) Northerner sent out a replacement order in good faith once they were satisfied the original order was lost.

the postal service from America for the most part has never let me down having said that when I have ordered goods from other vendors using cheap international shipping I have waited anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks for goods. Northerner deliveries from their American warehouse for the most part average 2 weeks for me.

Has this been a problem with US shipping from the US warehouse? Was just getting ready to put in an order.

You're American, right? It should be smoother for you. Going across continents throws sand in the works.

Well - the order has shown up yesterday! 4 cans of Pioneer and one of Skoal snus mint, just as ordered on 30th November 2011!

So the shipping time from the Northerner's US warehouse to the UK is just over 3.5 months or 110 days or approximately a third of a year.

There was no date on the package at all so I don't know if it was the original order or a replacement that was sent. That being said the expiry date on the Pioneer is 25th April and I have tried it and it still seems moist and acceptably fresh - it also contains the liquorice type flavour that people are saying the latest batch has so I don't think it can be the order sent out in Nov (the flavour is caraway to my nose by the way).

The moral of the story ... I don't know really - but Rick - thanks for any help you gave me in receiving the order.

I made another order on 19th Feb which I predict will arrive some time around midsummer on that form.

                                !!!!!!
