Doing some comparative shopping I did a 2-roll test order at Northerner and BuySnus.com

I was really just checking for price/shipping differences but the tobacco tax turned out to be way more significant...

Northerner added $50 tax while buysnus did not. Even though Northerner's shipping was half, the final total was WAY more. Seems odd to me that there would be that much difference?

Why? Taxes can be a huge amount, almost 100% in some cases. It depends on which state you're ordering from.

No worries mate, but you're seriously making me want to earn the DOTD award here. Hell, maybe I just did?

The "odd" part was that one supplier charged tax and the other did not shipping to the SAME state. I figured the folks who've been ordering for a long time could shed some light....

Northerner is USA based, so they have to follow USA law. Other vendors can skirt the law since they're not in the USA. Your still supposed to pay the taxes when you fill out your forms, which I'm sure everyone here does :^)

And thanks also for taking the time to answer a question that I could have answered for myself by searching. I did search a bit but I now see that a little more diligence would have paid off. At least I have the ability to learn, albeit slowly
