I received my snus today and I am VERY VERY happy! So even if (as long as I know) there aren’t any other south Americans in the forum, I decided to post my experience for other people that could be looking around (google or in this forum) for this kind of information. I don’t think (yet) people from here are aware that something called snus exist, but maybe also this could be useful information for travelers that would want their snus to be delivered to south America.
So, I placed my order may 6th in the afternoon (probably night in Sweden) in Northerner (www.swedish-snus.com) and according to their website it was shipped next day: may 7 th.
After doing some reading in this forum I was starting to worry because my order was a “try out box” and not some cans that could fit in an envelope. I thought the box could call attention to customs and delay everything.
Ten days after (May 16) I receive the snus in my front door. No need to go to the post office. The package had a stamp that said “Exento de tributo aduanero” (duty tax free) so it means that went through customs with no problems.
Two years ago my mother in law sent me a present from Canada and I had to go to the central post office (not the one closest to my place but the main office downtown) to show what was inside and do some paperwork.
Nothing like that happened with the snus!
I’m drinking mate with a göteborgs rapé under my lip 8) and listening to some fine tango music: la vie est belle!!

Update: I forgot to say that the order was with "first priority mail" (swedish mail) not with UPS.
Update 2 (May 30, 2008) My second order arrived after 12 days, but without any kind of inconvenience! :-)
