    Well Northerner Sucks....NOT!!

    9-28-2008 I FELT COMPELLED TO CHANGE THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD SINCE NORTHERNER SENT ME THAT 4 LB TUB OF GELLIVARE. LOL.



    I have emailed northerner 3 times to find out how to order the XQ snus because eveyrtime I try to put it in my cart I get a notice that the quanity is too large and I need to contact customer service. The reply to my first email said that I need to delete my cookies. I did that and it still does not work. My 2 follow up emails remain unanswered for almost a week so far. Some customer service they have. Or I should say some LACK of customer service. If the product is not available they could at least let me know. However, I did just receive my order of R&J mini- portions and the Monticristo loose. I was beginning to think they rejected my order since when I try to put those in my cart now they get booted out.
    Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......





    I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

    Hey guy, did you read my other posts on this in answer to your two other threads? I'm not making it up, you know.

    I ordered XQs tobacco products last year. Regularly ordered them, 10 at a time. Then they weren't available. I emailed Northerner. I was told the tobacco ones are no longer made. Period. End of story. You can order the non-tobacco ones, but why?

    The inability to have them show up in the cart is a simple way to block an order they can't fill. Yes, it would be great if they'd take down the flawed Web page that has "buy" beside something you can't buy.

    But they hardly "suck" because of that.

      Hi Bob, thats not at all why I say they suck. They suck because, in this instance, there was no communication. I know you said the XQ was not available but considering they are still listed as for sale on the website I would try and order some. When the order would not go thru thats when I started emailing them and asking whats wrong with the website. My first email back from them told me to delete my cookies and then I should be able to order the XQ. After 3 following emails to them never got answered within 8 days thats when I decided that they suck. I tried and was very nice in each email cuz I really wanted to try the XQs because of your recommendation. I did email them again last night to give them yet another chance to resond and they finally emailed me early this morning saying that the tobacco XQs are not available. Their very late response still keeps them on my s**t list.

        Gotcha. They've been good with my orders and got back to me quickly on my own XQs question. I've likewise had good experiences with Buysnus. I use them both, depending sometimes on only cost to swing my choice. Not sure why they didn't get back to you quicker. I've had similar bad experiences with online ordering/communications, but not with Northerner or Buysnus.

          Sorry for your trouble PP. I've never had any trouble with Northerner whatsoever either, and thought I would just stick with them until I learned here that BuySnus is a small, family-like business that is worth supporting. In my world, the less corporate the better. And my first BuySnus came in 6 days, which I am very happy with.

          I got comfortable purchasing online- I don't know- about 7-8 years ago, and I've only had one nasty experience. And even that got straightened out after a long, irritating process.

            I too love to support the little guy. I will buy from northerner whatever I can't get from buysnus from now on. And at the same time save a few pennies. Both do have great shipping times tho.

              PP, try them now. They're OK and maybe fixed their pages. They done good by me.

                I've gotten two orders from Northerner, and one from Buysnus. I've not had a problem with either so far. Northerner was a little faster, but that could just be our mail. Both removed my Monticristo orders though. I like the strong tobacco flavor, as I'm a long time smoker (now smoking 1/2 as much, and going down), and would like to try the portions, and the los. Somewhere around here I read about another site that will ship Monticristo to the US. Do you know who that is?
