Got the box, opened it and had a sniffing fest. I added 4-5 more things and took a few samples of what was in there.

Thanks again to Monkey, he has put a lot of really good snuff in there for our troops.

I will do my very best to get this box out in the morning.

EDIT: I really liked the WTF snuff...have to have the recipe!

I sold my prior mystery can to a co-worker for $2 many months back and got one recently AGAIN and now he won't even buy it.

Since the contents of the box pass is going to our troops I suggest that any and ALL snuff AND snus be allowed so the troops can check out the snus as well. I would also like to suggest that we leave as much in the box as possible for them to enjoy.

I was going to put some snus in there anyway.

Yeah, I think that's a great idea too. I was gonna throw in a can of Onyx or two, and maybe even give em my last can of Xmas Pudding.

Thanks PP. My thoughts exactly. I just didn't wanna piss anyone off by adding to the postage any with undesired snus in a snuff pass but had the troops in mind and well, hell they just might like the Wintergreen. I might also throw a few small sealed "General" samples snus in there that I've been generously loaded up with via Jonathon @ Clubsnus with my recent orders.

I mailed in a large flat rate box so we all pay the same all the way to Iraq.

Cool 8) er but I'm confused. Not worried about shipping costs but how "flat rate" worky? Won't the size/weight vary as the box proceeds on? Don't mind me, the only shipping experience I have is basically driving an 18 wheeler in my past work history and the trailers were usually preloaded.

The shipping is based on the size of the box, not the weight. It is a predetermined rate by the PO (I think we have a 15 dollar box) I don't remember the exact cost. I'd look it up, but I'm feeling lazy.

It will also ship to our troops for the flat rate. I sent some snus flat rate as soon as I got the first address and some books and stuff and the only thing extra I had to do was fill out the customs sheet. I included a customs sheet (mostly filled out except for value which must be determined by Chad and, weight which gets filled in by the PO). I think tghe flat rate box is relatively new (at least within the last 6 years) because when my buddy was in Afghanistan I was dropping at the minimum $35 a month sending care packages consisting of mostly porn and socks. I wasn't shipping much before I started snussing.

I think it was a fair way to ship, since as long as the same box is used all the way through, we all pay the same postage.

Thats pretty accurate. But there are a few corrections I must mention. We don't have to use the same box. We have to use a USPS flat rate box provided free by the post office. If it gets ruined we get another one, no big deal. The boxes cost $4.90 to $14.50 depending upon the size. The weight has nothing to do with the cost. The weight can be up to 70 lbs. with no xtra charge.

Now heres the catch.......it can actually be cheaper to send the package in a regular box depending upon the zone and the weight. So I would suggest that everyone go to the USPS site and calculate the postage for the actual weight and the zone it is being shipped to. If you don't want the hassel then use the flat rate box and pay alittle more.

                      check it out here

Since the weight does not matter with the flat rate box ..........it is the preferred way to ship concrete............... :?

Yeah since it is going to the troops I didn't take anything out, I only sampled. I will throw some snus in there as well, esp since I opted out of the hell box pass and have some stuff to throw in.

Box will be on its way by tomorrow.

I repacked the box into a smaller one but the socks that Monkey added didn't fit. I know for a fact that it would be cheaper in the box I re-packed in but I didn't want Nick to not get Monkey's gift of socks so I just put it all back into the flat rate box.

At my post office you can get those flat rate boxes for free so if this one gets all busted up just go grab a new one. I really contemplated getting a medium flat rate box and seeing if I could fit it all and the socks in there.

Anyway, it is packed back up in the same box that I got it in, list is updated and the card is signed. It will not go out until tomorrow because I am sick and my little brother stole my van(not really, I let him borrow it)

Wait :?:  :?: Now I'm confused. Christi already confirmed there are socks in this box. And porn to? :? Now I'm going to have to examine things a bit closer thus delaying the box route a bit whilst I take matters into hand...

I will be adding a bunch of snus to this too.

Excellent idea. I did a similar thing with one of my best friends who was in Iraq, I sent them 30 cans of snus a few weeks ago, which quickly got split between everyone really QUICKLY, his unit appreciated it and said it's easier for them because smoking isn't a good thing for the kind of operations they do. And they really liked the snus.

So I'll be including alot myself. Great idea.
