I am trying to be vegetarian. Doing good, kinda slacking a bit when going out to eat, but home food and work lunch has been vege all the way for maybe over a week.

Good job Tom. It was hard for me at first, but it's been so long now, I don't even think about it.

        Well, I know Monday I weighed 225.5 and today I weighed 219.0.

The vege interest is more based on karmic reasons than health, for me.

What's weird, is even though I'm not a vegeterian, I cook alot of veggies. Especially at work. Veggies are more versatile. But sometimes, you just can't beat meat. (insert sexual joke, or "that's what she said" line here)

I'm also an evil vegerarian. I did stop eating meat for the health reasons. then again, I drown everything in salt and drink alcohol ad libidum. But I suppose it would be worse if I also ate meat(?). It just seems gross now.

OK whats this crap about people not eating meat about. Please tell me exactly why you don't eat meat.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

No seriousely I have lived for 23 years on nothing but meat and I am super healthy.

I mean the most greens I consume is when I keep the lettuce on my big mac.

All meat and potatoes, all the time. Pastas with meat. Meat with meat. Bacon-on-bacon BITCHES!

I'm hardly an environmentalist, but world hunger concerns me and an animal used for food provides less food than the grain it eats. It's really inefficient.

That, and meat eating is shown time and time again to be detrimental to longevity and long-term health. Second on the list is veganism, and I know that, so please remember I'm talking about just not eating animal flesh.

Notice I didn't bring up the ethics of it- because I'm not concerned about them, I'm concerned about humanity. An animal is better used as a medical test subject than as a meal.

That, and don't knock it till you try it. most vegetarians I've met agree that if you can make it 30 days you won't want to eat meat again. It just looks like total filth and smells the same.

and also, living to 23 doesn't prove a damn thing. You statistically don't die of anything except car accidents and being murdered before your middle ages. You could probably eat garbage, no one said it will kill you in a week.

I don't eat it for ethical reasons. I won't/don't want to get into it here. I don't force my beliefs on anyone, and if others eat meat, that's there choice. More people f@*$ with me about not eating meat then I have EVER tried to convince others to not eat it.
