    SNUFF QUESTIONS:
    • How quick acting?
    • How strong is the usual nic hit?
    • How long acting is it?

I realize the amount used will have some bearing but,
what are the results in relation to snus usage? I'm
thinking just enough snuff to get some reaction.

I'm also thinking if I need a slight hold-me-over hit
that snuff might be what the doctor ordered.

I mostly use ES snus and 3-4 a day do me good. I used to use 7-9 a day and was so mellow I didn't wanna do anything. At least with 3-4 feel pretty good about not doing anything.....

Are you only using Thunder Frosted Berry? Those are 16mg per portion, alot of nicotine per portion at one time yes, But not spread out evenly enough during the day... I use a mix and would never think of just using sterks or extra sterks Exclusively... You are Probably going through nicotine withdrawl with only using 1 -4 portions per day... You need to keep your nicotine levels consitant all day... Hence balanced
Correct. However almost only Thunders are sold in Estonia, hard to find something not so strong.

Well I do need it for my ADHD.

I too used to be afraid of snuff and even had a few bad experiences with it in my late teens and early 20's but two years ago ate the ripe old age of 38 I've learned not to sniff very hard just enough to get it into the front of your nose, do not sniff hard forcing it into your throat and making your eyes water and sneeze. Two years of snuffing which I find makes snussing and pipe smoking even more enjoyable with a good snuff in. Best thing if you are going to try snuffs is to purchase a mild snuff (avoid american made scotch type snuffs as they are damn strong) or get some samples and experiment that's what I did.

Now back to the Snus & Tiredness:
About an hour before bed I enjoy a good snuff (usually Toque lavender or Toque Vanilla; unless I'm a bit stuffy then it's a menthol, medicated, or mint snuff to open my sinuses) and usually either: a pipe with a mild aromatic tobacco (usually a vanilla cavendish), a mild cigar, or a snus, . I find any of this helps me to relax and sleep more deeply.

I sometimes notice when the wife & kids go to bed I pop in a snus and relax on the couch and find I am sleepy (have fallen asleep a few times with a snus in). I figure this is the nic. relaxing me from the stresses of the day.

When I do a hit of snuff I feel it within seconds, the nic hit depends on how strong the snuff itself is and how much you take, and I can go about an hour after a good hit of snuff.

It does both for me. Sometimes it acts as a stimulant and
other times I get sedated. I usually get sedated from snus
                  in the evening.

It sounds like you started snus back up again...summer is over.

Snus gets a mother lode of nicotine into your body and it stays there longer than most other tobacco products, namely snuff and smokes. This is probably the reason and your body will adjust in a few days or a week I'd surmise. I think a sterk slows me down a little in the afternoon if I have one then so I usually stick to 8mg portions. I have noticed that I go to the sterk with my afternoon coffee if I'm feeling particularly stressed that day. Other than that there's no energizing effect for me and no real sedation...conditioning I suppose.
