I have yet to find one. Everything I order that says it comes in a metal tin arrives in plastic.

Lucky Strike and Taboca are the only 2 that I know of.

The Lucky Strike is metal on the outside, and lined with a hard plastic on the inside.

The Taboca is metal inside and out from what I remember.

Montecristo and Romeo and Julieta had beautiful metal tins last year, and i believe that they still do. Montecristo has a more traditional flavor with some citrus in it. Romeo has too much anise flavor for me- i never warmed up to anise and ouzo and the cough teas. Also, Diplomat comes in nice tins, but they are of somewhat lesser quality than Montecristo (which are solid, strong, close very well, and have rounded edges).

In addition to what others have posted(Diplomat's history btw :^(...) Offroad comes in metal tins, and Mocca does also.

I just got an offroad strong cran portion and it's in a plastic can. Not sure if other offroads are metal, or if it's a los thing. As mentioned by lxskllr the Mocca is the only one I've ever ordered that's metal.

FYI Montecristo and Romeo and Julieta might not be orderable in the US - I've heard northerner will (cuban embargo ). I've never tried, but I'm going to try on my next order.

Hmm, all of the Offroads I've gotten have been in metal tins. It's not my favorite snus, so it's been awhile since I've ordered.

Offroad Los does not come in metal anymore. If it does, they havent sent me any metal cans and I use it daily. Wish I could use Montecristo and RyJ, but alas... im in the US.

Generally I'm a buysnus person, but maybe I'll make an exception and order those two from Northerner by themselves and see how it goes - what's the worst that could happen? The FBI could show up at my house and give me cavity searches looking for my cuban tobacco. I think the odds of that happening are acceptably low .

Northerner will not send them to you. They will allow you to add them yto your cart and will remove them at the checkout screen. Been there, tried that :P

When did this happen? I order only from Northerner and about a year ago i did get my "Cuban" snus.

                        Metal

Diplomat downgraded to plastic with a removable lid before leaving the market. Lucky Strike, Montecristo portion & loose, Romeo y Julieta Portion & mini, Mocca and Taboca all are in metal.

I ordered the Offroad Icemint loose recently and it's in a metal tin.

                            Offroad Metal

I wouldn't be surprised if V2 (Offroad) is switching over to plastic. Metal tins are hugely expensive, and their volumes are too low to justify the expense of metal. After labor, the can is the most expensive part of a can of snus. The good stuff inside, even in the most highly regarded snus, is the cheapest piece of the pie.

I somehow doubt that. Pouring the plastic in molds/stamping metal, making the labels, etc, is a much smaller and therefore cheaper process than buying tobacco stock, selecting tobacco, mincing, pasteurizing, flavoring, maturing, etc.
also since snus goes bad if not sold quickly enough, that's another cost of the product itself.
if they wanted to, they could probably form a recycling program. tell their users to turn their tins in to be recycled. perhaps use them as coupons as discounts on future snus.
