My first attempt to use Los.

I actually found a can of General OP Los at The Briar Patch in Sacramento and decided to give it a shot. My first pris was OK. I took a pinch of tobacco and rolled it into a small ball. It held together nicely but left me wanting more. I decided to try and take a big pinch of tobacco with my next attempt. I could barely get it under my lip and the whole thing fell apart in my mouth almost immediately. I think I find got it right on my third attempt. I took a fairly large pinch but formed it into a rectangle shape as best as possible. The pris worked out well and I could still taste it after it sat in my mouth for 3 hours. I don't think los will ever be the primary way I snus because portions are just too darn convenient and work well. I can me using los after a long day at work or while camping.

Keep at it bro, it gets way easier and enjoyable. When I first started using los, it was a chore, it was as if I had to "tend" the pris, now I just pop it in and forget about it. Initially I used los only at home, as a treat..so to speak. Now it's approximately 70% of my snus usage.

I just started using los and the syringe has been a godsend. I don't really like handling the stuff at the moment.

Congrats on stepping into the los world. I was straight portions for a wile then tried los and went 100% los for maybe 4 months. For me it was mainly a cost thing. One can of los lasts me almost 5 days against 3 days for portions. Plus i had to go back and revisit all the different los versions.
If you like Ettan do try that in los, for me it was way better than the portions ever were.
Right now i am probably 50/50 los and portions. Portions are great when i am at a school function or out to eat with the family.

That's the problem with snus. There are just so many types out there to try within ones lifespan. Also on my need to try list is Gellivares, Landstrom and Jakobssons Classic. I feel fortunate in that I started to use snus pre PACT so it was easy to order a can of something just to try it. Now with the added shipping and taxes, placing a small order of something just to try it doesn't make any financial sense.

I am going to try the syringe aka "ghetto icetool" and let you know how that works. I just hope that the pharmacy doesn't think I am some kind of junkie when I ask them if I can buy 1 3 ml syringe.

It'll have to be someone else because the Dog was never a smoker

I have a strange personal theory in my head that snus is made for the dippers and nasal snuff is more for the smokers. I know that's not the case though.

Edit- About the smoker's guide to snus, that'll be easy- place that snus under your lip and go on with your bad self (lol)

Looking around at about six different pharmacies I couldn't locate a baby dosing syringe as small as a regular 3ml needle type syringe. I bought three 3ml at Walgreens for a less than a buck, tax included. They didn't blink twice at the request.

When i went for mine, i told the lady it was for smokeless tobacco. *shrugs* maybe i'm too honest lol. I DID get it for free by the way.

When I bought a syringe, I went into the drugstore on my lunch break from work. I was covered in dirt, wearing a grubby Tshirt, and BDUs that were full of holes. I looked like I was homeless :^D They probably thought I was a junky, but what do I care what they think? The syringe cost me 25¢, no tax :^)
