I love the description. They say its tasteless then go on to descibe the taste. Looks like the Wise packaging.

Lagmark Vin & Kock - White Mini Portion
This Wine & Chef snus is for people that wants to enjoy both nicotine and wonderful flavours. It's tasteless, colorless and free from nitrosamines that can cause cancer. Not even the original bitter nicotine taste is there. It's also a waterfree snus that doesn't secrete liquids or discolour your teeth.

New snus flavours have had a big breakthrough in the last few years, but snus with traditional flavour has a large number of addetives. Flavours that disturbes the smell and taste experience for those who wants to enjoy nicotine and perhaps a glass of wine and a nice dinner. Njette offers this snus as an alternative. The Vin & Kocksnus will be sold in restaurants, bars and hotels in Sweden.

      The Can
The can is thin, slim and made in an environmentally friendly and recyclable material. The can has two separate compartments: one for fresh snus and one for used snus.

1 can contains 24 pouches with 6 mg of nicotin per pouch.

TIP: Wise portion is a dry snus that get it's moisture from saliva, so wet it with your tongue before putting it under your lip.

Because Wise portion is a dry snus it also has a long durability without beeing stored in a refrigerator.

I don't think my friends would ever let me live down using Kocksnus.

How can it be free of nitrosamines? I thought all snus had nitrosamines in small amounts?

Probably in the same way that "non-alcoholic" beer still has trace amounts of alcohol

Maybe the tobacco has been processed in a nuclear power plant.

Sorry, but I always found Wise a bit dubious. Does it contain tobacco or not? Does it contain real nicotine or not? It's all a bit unclear and overall the brand doesn't appeal to me.

BTW, though the Swedish word "Kocksnus" theoretically translates very easily into German ("Kochsnus"), I had to read the description to know what it means. I guess only Swedes will not laugh about the name.

                  Cheers!

The stuff sounds pointless. I don't think I'd want to snus of there was no discernible taste.

I think the point is its for people who work in the fine food or wine industry, who need to keep their taste sensibility sharp in their daily activities and got to have a nicotine hit.

I really like Wise regular 6mg its got a nice taste, and the nicotine seems to get through the mucus membrane extra fast. Must be PH level and refined to a point to release a large dose of nicotine quickly. It one of my daily rotations.

That's one hell of a niche. That may be the official reason, but I think it's the tobacco companies attempt to get into medicinal nicotine. It's not a bad idea for the right person. If you want to quit tobacco altogether, this might be better than using the patches and gums, and it certainly is cheaper than those other products. I won't be trying it, because I like the taste of snus, and there isn't much enjoyment in a flavorless bag :^/

I find the Wise 6 mg citrus menthol OK for use when you would like a small portion, plus they never run any juice, they are dry and the water content seems to have been replaced by a chewing gum type of powdery sweet aspartame-type substance. They appear to contain less tobacco and it is dry, not moist.

This product must have nitrosamines, if it contains tobacco, but all snus has only trace elements. I must hand it to their marketeers for giving it a stupid name.

                            I hope Asssnus isn't copyrighted!

This could be the base for all kinds of taste trials. Last week, I soaked a CatchDry Peppermint portion in Creme de Cacao and it was incredibly good. First the chocolate liquor hit, then the peppermint. Instant Peppermint Patty!

Course, if I buy this, I'll dump the portions into my used tin of Wise Citrus/Menthol. And, Darkwing, I have no idea why but those Wise 6mg portions absoloutely spin my head as nothing else does. I did fine with N&J and Skruf portions (didn't like either), but Wise 6mg really sends me to the couch. I note these new portions are 6mg also.

Unlike so many here, I do not find the taste of normal snus attractive in any way. I guess it's an acquired taste -- and I don't really care to acquire it because so many flavored snus are available and taste great.

But a tasteless one with a nic hit? Pull out the flavorings and let's try some stuff!

BTW: I just noticed the price hike at Northerner! Yikes! First of many to come, I'm sure.
