It took me less than two weeks from my first general portion to quit.

That guy on the 60 minutes deal is a douche bag. Poppin portions and smoking like a fruitcake.

I intended to use snus at work and on travel and continue smoking but after the first few days of snusing I didn't even want to go back to cigarettes and stopped. Haven't had a single smoke in 16 months and don't miss it.

I never smoked, but I dipped. The first day I got my shipment of real snus I quit the dipping habit.

I only buy cigarettes when i'm exceptionally irritated. I'll bum the occasional one from a friend if i'm drunk, beyond that, just snus for me. Don't know if that counts as a current 'dual user' or not. I didn't vote.

I had quit cigs before i got into snus but had been using an e-cig. Couldn't be bothered with that anymore so got some snus ordered - went 4 months on straight snus. Has a few cigars here and there but even that has stopped now. So no, not a dual user.

I knew that I no longer wanted to smoke after my first taste of Swedish snus.

Never been a 'dual user' in the sense of that guy popping General Whites and smoking at the same time.

For the 1st year or so I used to 'fall off the wagon' and circumb to the odd cigarette or two when I was drunk but wouldn't smoke and snus and the same time.

These days do very occasionally fall off the wagon and ponce the odd cigarette of my girlfriend on special occasions but then realise I don't like them any way near as much as snus and the next hit is always a snus one.

Maybe the guy popping General Whites and smoking at the same time should try a stark snus?

I was a dual user for the first month I snused. I would snus at work, and smoke at home. After a month, I quit smoking. I was cig free for 6 months. Only snused. Then I ran into dental issues that I am still going through. Lots of procedures, lots of pain. For a while, I could not snus, they just did not feel right in there. I know smoking while getting dental work is bad, but I was able to smoke when I could not snus. I am not done my dental procedures yet, but I am done for the year because I used up all of my dental health plan money for the year. But I ended up back at the beginning again. I am currently a dual user, snusing at work, smoking at home. Although this time, I also snus some at home, to force myself not to smoke too much. I smoke about a 1/2 pack a day. I hate that I am, and am about ready to give them up again. I was so proud of myself for finally quitting. But I will be there again in the next week or 2. I have begun using los again at night, and i can keep a los pris in for like 2 hours without getting sick of it, so that is really helping me leave the cigs alone at night.

I finished off the rest of the pack I had (lasted a week and a half) and haven't looked back. I do however see the occasional cigar in my future, but I'm done with cigs.

I voted less than one week but it wasn't like that for me. I quit my pack-a-day habit cold turkey. That went 6 months then I started dipping. It was over a year before I had a cig again but I knew from the first drag that I wouldn't be making it a regular thing again. it was a smoke here and there, maybe 2-3 per month so I didn't worry at all.

I quit dip with snus. I think I was convinced with the second portion.

Now I buy a dip every 2 months or so. I've quit smoking something else so I've found comfort in a cigarette for the past couple of weeks but I know that won't last. My wife was also on a trip to Ireland to visit her family and some of her sisters have started smoking again. Last night she sent me to the store to get whiskey and cigarettes. I know, I've got a FANTASTIC wife. Ha! Lately we've been burning a few over the whiskey (I bought a handle) every other day but I still don't consider myself a dual user. I couldn't smoke without a drink in my hand and I can't drink too much 'cos it makes me sick.

Eventually I'll be done with it totally but I'm not ready for that yet.

I took me 4 months to completely stop smoking, but I was intentional not rushing it. I wanted it to "stick" once I completely left cigs behind. The last month or so, I was only smoking 2 or 3 per day. Whenever I really wanted to smoke, I would have one. Each time I had a craving, I would ask myself, "Do you want a smoke or a snus?" Eventually, the answer was always snus.

I never would of even tried Snus or any other product until I made the decision to quit smoking. The snus was for the terrible withdrawls that would be coming and it worked out great.

The poll is broken. I voted twice.
