My order from SnusCentral came in.. Two days from Sweden! Can't beat it.. Anyways I'm a bit nervous at my first attempt to handbake. I may try it tonight or the weekend. I have two cans of rape, two of General, one of Ettan, and one on the way from a trade of Grov.. My question is which one is easiest to handle for a first timer? I've read most folks on here didn't fare to well on the first attempt. My goal is to break the cycle. Thanks in advance.

Either of them. Go with Ettan. You know what Play Dough is, right? Just imagine you have some, and mold it into a little PEZ shapped pellet. It's not hard. Hold your lip open and stick it in.

My first experience with Lös was with Ettan. Very easy to work with.

General is easy to use also.

Haven't tried Goteborgs Lös though.

I think this is the most important thing you can do. Keep the size reasonable, and shape/prettiness doesn't matter so much. It'll likely feel foreign and delicate in your lip, but if you stick with it, you'll be able to use it as easily as portions in a very short time.

I appreciate it.. I'll take baby steps. One thing I find odd is in the videos the "pris" they make is alot larger than the tobacco I'd suspect is in a portion. Is there less nic in loose where as you would need more?

Nah, they're the same. I have a fairly wide range of what I consider acceptable nicotine. I have a low cap at the top, but not much of a bottom. I'd could use mini portions/very small prises, but I don't like the mouth feel/flavor level. In other words, I'd be fine with a regular portion that had the nicotine of a mini. Starks OTOH make me feel groggy, and sometimes sick.

I'm not sure why people use more lös than is contained in a portion. I use about 1.14g per pris, which is about what a regular portion is. When I handbake, I have to use half as much as I think I need. It looks smaller in hand than it really is. I'll pull a pinch out, and put half of it back. I guess my eye would develop if I handbaked more, but I mostly use an IceTool. If you can get a 3ml syringe, fill 1.5cm of that, and shoot it into your hand. It looks like it's almost nothing, but that's the perfect size for me.

Thank you for the advice.. I am the same way pretty much.. 8 mg is fine for me.. I went a bit crazy on my first order and ordered 12 cans of thunder extra stark.. It was great when I first quit smoking but now it's overkill. They are sitting pretty in the freezer awaiting a home on the tradeboard.. I'm keeping half just for use every now and again.

True, your per can price goes down, the more you order. I ordered 5 rolls, should last me better part of a year. Glad you got yours.

I'm glad you got yours as well.. I'm set for the next few months.. With a good amount of variety to keep me satisfied.
