Doubt it.. We are still waiting for a response as to why Northerner won't/can't sell their shit to us but other suppliers will.

+1. & Sad to say I'm also noticing a lot of flat under-stuffed and under-nic'd portions in my skruf ES I stocked up on. I'm just addicted to this damn rose oil or GESP would be my replacement to.

Now, my comment is about the Skruf Tranbar, but since LaZer also brings up...my first can of Tranbar was wonderful. Evenly sized portions and very tasty. I bought a roll, and while it's still pretty tasty, it seems a little less flavorful and about 1/3 of the portions in the 2 cans I've gone through so far were so understuffed as to barely have any tobacco in them at all. I've been very disappointed in that and if I find the same throughout the rest of my roll (and since they're in the same roll I probably will unfortunately) I may not buy another one for awhile. I LOVE the flavor but quality control doesn't seem too good right now, especially if others have noticed the same thing. I may just stick with the 02 and thunder frosted longs and minis that I have since I don't have to fold them or scrunch them to fit and just use thunder berry for my sweet fruity snus cravings.

I think Skruf Stark Portion should have also carried it's own brand warning when it was good (besides the tobbaco/health one)...'This brand is so good you will get addicted to it and never want anything else and if it goes south you'll go through hell trying to give it up and find an equal replacement even if it is has turned c*rap'

Just curious how Thunder Berry compares to Skruf Stark? I think the thing is I can't think of another snus brand that uses Rose Oil as a flavouring.

I like all the Skruf varieties, Stark, Xtra Stark, OP and Tranbar.
They are some of my favs. But I never tried them before
3 months ago so I don't know the old Skruf.

I like their consistency and solid flavor.

Any more Skruf fans out there?

I have 9 assorted rolls of Skruf portions in my freezer.

So how did everyone here get turned on to Swedish Snus?
I don't know if I heard of it myself before the 60 Minutes piece.
I had seen the Camel stuff advertised but didn't think about
trying it. Was it known here first in larger cities and on college
                  campuses or what?

I had been considering given up cigs for months but couldn't
get myself to set a target date or method. When I saw the piece
on 60 Minutes I jumped right on it! it's history now. I have
gone something like 103 days without a cig now.

I found out about snus through BAT's website's harm reduction section, then out to Northerner and on from there....

                      True so true.

The Thunder Berry doesn't really compare to skruf IMO. It is more berry and I don't really get any rose oil at all. Thunder Berry was briefly in my top 5 list back when it came out but I "burned" out on it by consuming too much then. I still have a 5 ct in my fridge which I will slowly revisit for a treat soon.

I found snus by getting coupons from marlboro for it.. It was crap did research and baught general from a cigar shop. Rest is history. That guy on 60 minutes was a douchebag. Doing all those portions and smoking same time. Why didn't they use one of you guys for the piece back then. They had to pick someone who didn't quit smoking so they could show a "dual user" I'm just glad they showed that Swedish Dr who spoke the truth.

Thunder berry is pretty good but produces a little too much saliva and is strong.

A long+ berry would be GREAT though.

Yeah, the flavors aren't at all the same between Thunder Berry and Tranbar, I was just meaning that I use the Tranbar as my sweet "treat" type portion. I love the smell and initial flavor with the Tranbar. Thunder Berry is actually sweeter, IMO, but since it's stronger some may not like it (see above comment). I actually don't get much saliva/drip out of it now, but when I first tried it I did. But I also think it's the best tasting drip I've had yet so it didn't bother me when it was a bit more excessive. I seem to have a pretty good tolerance with nicotine because I don't get the hiccups or burn I've heard others mention. I'm with c.nash though, I love the long portion styles, so if they make a thunder berry long I'd have a set rotation with 02, frosted long, and berry long that I don't think I'd ever need to break.

I found snus because I was bored to death at my job, and I was gonna get some Bandits, which I looked up online, and stumbled upon Camel SNUS, and found the corner gas station had it, so I got some. Then I looked up snus, which led me here.

Imperial Tobacco is the parent company of Skruf (pronounced 'Skroof' and Knox brands of Swedish snus. Skruf is probably the second most popular snus brand in Sweden and one of the top most popular snus brands in the growing American market.

Skruf was started by two life long friends who saw an opportunity to make a big future for a small product - Jonas Engwall and Adam Gillberg.

Life long friends and entrepreneurs, Jonas and Adam, sat down in 2001 to discuss how they could use their skills gained in the world of finance to build a business in an area they were passionate about.

Skruf is produced in the forests of Småland in the southern part of Sweden and fresh water from the forest lakes are used in the production. Only the best tobaccos are used in the making of Skruf and the famous Swedish standards for production of snus are of course being met. Skruf as a company has a strong focus on environmental issues and are working hard ...
