    Granit Lös

I got a tin of this with my last order, and I have to say that I'm really enjoying it. It has a very pronounced lemon flavor that I'm really digging, and I don't find the pris becomes bitter even after an hour and a half. It's almost like someone took General, and inverted the lemon and pepper flavors. I like.

I just tried Granit loose for the first time yesterday. I loved it. Makes a firm pris that stays together very well. The flavor is excellent, but I pretty much knew that going in as the maxi portions are one of my favorites.

I'll definitely be ordering Granit loose again. Wonderful snus.

I've actually been tempted to try this on some of my orders, but ended up passing it by. I would eventually have tried it anyway, but now I'll definately be ordering it on my next order. I knew Granit would prob be a quality brand since it's from F&L, but Retro is an F&L brand too and I wasn't to fond of it. Anyone know about the regular portions?

I have both the portions and the lös in my freezer to try at a later date. I'm really tempted to open them up now, but I have way too many open cans in the fridge atm.

I love the Granit loose. It is usually my last pris of the night. Just became habit.

Similar to Diplomat. I am very impressed by this snus as it is the only "bargain" brand I can tolerate in the least.

It has a great texture on it that it blends coarse and fine tobacco.

On a side note, I emailed F&L and asked if they had considered changing the packaging on the can. I keep all my open cans stacked on top of one another and this one slides all over the place. I know, too picky.

I wondered if they would consider a metal can like the Diplomat.

Just for posterity, I thought it would be good to second what the above posts have to say about Granit Loose. It retains its flavor very well over a period of time and forms a pris that stays intact. It has less of a well-rounded fruit tone to it compared to Diplomat but is very similar in most other respects. This really is a great snus.

                Granit loose is sooooooooo good.

It really is a bit lemony/orangy. I really like the flavor better than General.

What a quality snus! Loose snus usually lasts me a can a week. I've plowed through 3/4 of a can in two days. I'm reaching for it instead of portions it tastes so good.

I wonder what Diplomat was like.

Diplomat was earthier. Level lös mixed with Granit would give you Diplomat. If you've had Level portions, imagine all the nastiness toned down a bit. That's what the Level lös was like.

                          Spike,

I’m sure sage will be round shortly to give you an official greeting but until he gets here let me say welcome to the forum and glad you decided to post. At some point you will have to let us know what you have found that you like and share your first impressions. Regardless, glad to have you.

As far as Granit goes, I like it. It is a good all around snus and a great snus for newbies or those venturing into los for the first time.

The grind is fine enough to make baking easy while coarse enough to hold up in the mouth. The flavor is on the strong side (thus good for those coming from Dip or cigs). And the price is right.

I have heard this called the poor man’s General. I consider that to be an insult to Granit. To me General is like snusing bland caulking. Granit is far better.

That said, while Granit is a strong offering it is not my favorite. I think there are other brands out there that are better. Nonetheless, I don’t consider Granit to be merely a beginner’s snus. It remains in my rotation after 2 years (even if it’s not in the top 3 or 4)

Bottom line: if you have not tried this one, throw a can in with your next order. If you are thinking of breaking into los- This (along with a few others) is a great place to start. 8)

thank you snusdog for welcoming me, my current favs are ettan OP's and goteborgs rape. i can tolerate general white but like the citrus more then the pepper and also roda lacket but isnt one of my favorites yet as ive had only one can but will order again. grov is ok but i need to explore it more. both onyx and grov black arent bad but couldnt do them all day, although nice once in awhile. my new order consists of my fav's along with gotlands green, thunder frosted and claq qui. i will probally try granit los when i decide to take the leap into los.
