I stuck a bunch of Altoids in my mouth afterwards to try and dispell the aftertaste.
Marlboro Snus? Actually pretty darn good!

In a sense, American dip is "American snus." That is, it developed as the American version of snus used by Scandanavian immigrants, hence the Scandanavian name "Copenhagen." But, yeah, I agree there is no good reason American companies can't put out a decent Swedish-style snus in the modern age. (I do think they are going for a new, different market than the market for American dip though. They are going primarily after smokers, in particular ones who think of dip as too "redneck" or whatever.)Originally posted by Snussles View PostWhat I don't get is why the american snus sucks so much compared to the american dip.

I think Marlboro snus is doomed to fail. The tobacco is extremely dry (I believe less than 10% moisture content) and the flavor is far too sweet. I think Camel snus will gain more traction in the American market, since the packaging is sleek and the advertisements are all over the place.
