I'm not even going to ask what's in the Gellivare can Lazer.


I just got 16 cans into a vacuum seal bag. It is exactly the right length to stand across the back of my fridge or freezer door. I have enough snus to last me three years. I'll lay it out and take pics and count it as soon as my last three or four rolls on order arrive. I believe I have 240 or so cans vacuum packed right now. Plus two tubs of Kardus, two fridgemates full of portioned snus, and the make your own snus portion bucket. Then there's the half dozen Northerner energy snus I never bothered freezing and the quart of loose franken-snus I've mixed up.

I feel at ease with my stash. I don't feel comfortable with how I packed the vacuum packs. I did six cans to most of my packs and put one can of loose, two cans of sterk portions and three cans of regular portions in each one. I hope I planned along the lines of my actual consumption. No big deal to grab a couple and reseal them..

Do you drink much Carlsberg? I remember when I was in Sweden pretty much everyone I was around drank that, it's a pretty popular beer from what I saw.

Do you drink much Carlsberg? I remember when I was in Sweden pretty much everyone I was around drank that, it's a pretty popular beer from what I saw.

I'm only 18 years old, and here in Sweden you have to be 20 to buy alcohol with higher procentage than 3,5% (crazy, I know...). The government have a monopoly on alcohol which means you can only buy alcohol stronger than 3,5% at stores called "Systembolaget". Except for bars and clubs though where you can buy everything.

When I buy 3,5% beers I prefer Carlsberg. At bars I sometimes buy Carlsbergs as well. Often I start off with maybe a bottle of Carlsbergs, Staropramen, or a darker kind like Samuel Adams. A little later in the evening I just buy whatever they have on tap since it's more cheap. But Carlsbergs is good for sure. Not the best one, but still good. Easy to drink.

I noticed the lower percentage beers are very common.

It was interesting to see that in the Swedish Match cafeteria they actually offered the low percentage beers with lunch for their employees.

I guess if it's a low percentage and you're just drinking one it's good with a meal.

We have "lättöl" (or "light beer"), which is probably what you are referring too. The percentage of that is about 2%, and is legal for all ages to buy; although most shops still wants to see ID. The 3,5% is somewhere in the middle of light beer and the regular stronger kind (4,2--6%). Both the 2% and 3,5% is great for meals though. Especially the 2% is good since it contains very few calories.
