When keeping snus in the freezer, is it better to put the cans in freezer bags, or is it okay to just load them in Fridgemates?

I'm actually too lazy too put them in bags. The Ettan los I used to have lasted pretty good for almost a year with no bags in the freezer.

But really, some brands are probably fine without bags. Like Gotland. Those cans are sealed pretty well.

Others, like Offroad or General could probably use a strip of tape around the can or a bag.

I'm also planning for several years in storage though.

I don't think you're crazy. I've only been using snus two weeks and I ordered about 35 cans. I went crazy with mint for about 20 of them. Prob because I was a menthol smoker. So my second order was reg. My wife understands I just explained the price is going to be higher. I would of ordered more if I could afford it.

My loving wife vac-sealed several rolls of Offroad cranberry and licorice for me and I have three more rolls of Grovsnus coming in. I'd think the sealed container would lock moisture into the tobacco. Could this stuff possibly suffer from freezer burn without such protection? (freezer burn is what exactly?)

I don't know that anybody overreacted, per se. There's just so much uncertainty among consumers as far as how PACT will affect our cost and ability to purchase and have tobacco shipped, that a lot of us felt that we needed to do some hedging.

Heck, I just made a $70 order from Toque, for enough snuff to tide me through the summer(and maybe then some, I got about 400g total), just so I can see what is gonna transpire, and then decide if I can still order from Toque directly, or whether Northerner will end up being more cost-effective.

You can buy a little freezer for about $150 - it would be worth it to me to avoid hearing about it.
