    Offroad Long-Cut Red Blend

I opened my mail today and found a little care package from my friends over at V2 Tobacco. I figured that Patrick was sending me the Thunder testers (which is awesome, because my order from Buysnus has not arrived yet).

Anyways, As soon as I opened my mailbox, I noticed a scent near and dear to my heart... BERRIES! Amongst the Thunder cans was one I had not seen before, and Patrick, I am sorry if this was meant to be a secret, but damn this stuff is GOOD!...

    Offroad Long-Cut Red Blend

Here is a snus that is EVERYTHING that I had hoped for when I first tried Skoal Berry Blend. Upon opening the can, the berry smell makes my mouth water, but it is not without a dual scent of rich, dark tobacco.

Upon grabbing my first pinch (I lower-lip the long-cut), I noted a nice cooling sensation as I placed it under my lip (maybe a tiny hint of mint that is virtually undetectable sans the slight minty tingle?). The berry flavor is similar to that of Thunder Berry, but in my opinion, is a bit more subdued as it makes way for the long-cut tobacco juice to flow. The juice got nice and dark in fairly quick succession making way for a couple nice spits before it mellowed into a nice steady flow.

I can not vouch for the length of time the flavor lasts, as I spit it out to have dinner, but I can say that if something like this were available to unknowing American dippers, V2 would have one hell of a winner on their hands!

That being said, Thanks again for the treat. Will post up reviews of the Thunder test series as soon as I can break away from this can of Red Blend.

    Wow... I can't wait.

I like Thunder Berry, but I want something similar with a lower nicotine content.

Aye. I cant vouch for the content, but if I had to gauge it based off of how it makes my head feel vs. how much I have in my mouth right now (a good 3-finger pinch), I would have to say it is in the 8mg/g ballpark.

The only thing that makes me sad is that I will be in Basic Training/AIT in less than 2 months and will be snus-less for roughly 7 months

I can only hope that this stuff is on the market for purchase by the time I am free to use tobacco again in early 2011. This is going to be a major staple in my tobacco consumption.

Looks like they're gearing up for America. This doesn't interest me so much, but I hope V2 kicks ass over here. I will probably get a tin. Berries and snus aren't my thing, and I have no idea about the long cut, but I'll give almost any lรถs a try.

Whatcha up to Xob? Good luck in any case. I hope the snusless period isn't too tough on you.

I should be OK Ix. One thing I noticed is that since I gave up smokes many moons ago for snus, I am much more pleasant for much longer periods of time before my nicotine craving claws come out!

I am going into the Army active duty. Initial intake processing is already done. I begin Basic Training processing on 7/28 and reach Ft. Knox, KY on 8/2. 9 weeks @ Knox and then I am straight off to Ft. Sam Houston, TX for another ~4.5 months.

That should be pretty interesting. Do you have medic experience, or is this all new?

I did AIT at Ft. Sam... in my case, the first 4 weeks were worse than basic, but after that it was great! San Antonio is a cool place to hang out when you get weekends off. Good luck!

This looks kinda good. I also hope they make a "non-flavored" long cut.

Xobeloot, have an awesome time in the Army.
I really hope V2 Tobacco starts selling their snus in US stores soon.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
