I usually move a portion into place with my tongue, with an occasional fingertip assist. Doubly true with white portions, as I like to let them sit on my tongue and collect a little moisture before placing them.
I fluff the portion, slightly weight it towards one side. Seam side out and fold of the seam up. Lift the lip and place it in the pocket. I often give it a little press from the outside of my lip to form it nice an pack it down a little. The tighter the pack the longer it takes to get going...especially with whites. Done for an hour or so.
I compress it a bit into a longer thinner portion, then just throw it in and push it under my lip with my tongue. With lös i usually just push it up with my thumb then maneuver it around with my tongue.
I give it a little fluff with my fingers and then use my tongue to put it in place. For some reason I always have to have the portion fold/seal towards my outer lip.
I snort it up my nose, hack and wheez, then cough it into my lip.
I'm considering drilling a hole in my sinuse cavity for easier movement between nose/mouth and for some storage space.
