Snus review from a newer snuser

I recently tried a range of snuses and thought I'd post a review as some people on my previous thread suggested.

    -Portions
    Gotland Green:
I initially liked the taste of this one but after a while it started to tasted soapy and a lot like mulch or grass. I enjoyed this one but only in the context of some of the others.

    Nick and Johnny's Strong
This is a rich, smokey and well.. strong. Some times it tasted fine and was nice with a coffee, but other times the drip was heavy and the juice just burned going down. I suppose someone who enjoys a strong dip would enjoy this.

    Grove White
This was delish, I can't quite describe the flavor but it was nicely salted and rich but not overpowering.

    Ettan Portion
This one was also really good but I found it to get bland fairly quickly. I still love these though and would order them again. They are great with coffee.

    General Mint/ General Sampler
I ran out of Snus and was hustling to find a Smoker Friendly to get some General Snus but they were all closed. I had just given up and bought some cigarettes when I noticed a box from Sweden, the Free General Sampler I ordered over a month ago. I had already gone through one sampler and a can of Gen White Wintergreen before trying the others so when I popped in the General Mint portion I remembered what I had been missing.
I love the General Mint and to a lesser extent, the wintergreen, above all the other flavors. The minty burn is wonderful and the sweetness and mild salt is for me ideal. In fact I have loved every General flavor I've tried and maybe my snus tastes are budding, but I can't imagine a better flavor, Its almost feels like its freshening my mouth. Granted I'd enjoy a grove or ettan portion every now and again, but I'm glad I can buy general snus locally in Colorado

I don't know how long you have been snusing, but a lot of people, including me, will tell you your tastes will change over time. I used to hate stuff like ettan and roda, prefering minty and fruity snus. Now I can't stand fruity snus and only go for mint occasionally. I am a huge ettan fan and skruf and bla follow a close second.

True enough, but you can keep the Balkan blends. Ugh. Not to my liking.

However, I've been known to smoke more than a few pipes of some pretty robust Burley blends, as well as a few stout Virginia/Periques, all without added flavorings. If the tobacco is good enough, it doesn't need them.
