    Offroad Cranberry Strong Portion

I just received my OR-Cran Strong from northerner yesterday, and I must say that I am quite pleased with it. The tobacco tastes like tobacco, and the cranberry is quite subtle.

I am used to American dip that tastes like chemicals and sugar. This is such a huge taste improvement I can hardly believe it!

I'm glad you like it. It's also one of my favorites. It's quite an unusual snus-brand, BTW. Very unintrusive and subtle, but also very tasty. The traditional brands, especially Ettan, offer a somewhat even more subtle taste-experience, which also is worth a try.

    Cheers!

Hmm might have to give it a try. I was afraid it would be an onslaught of cranberry like some of the other offroad flavours. How does it compare to rape no.2 and how sweet is it?

I've never tried GR2. Offroad Cranberry has a certain sweetness, especially the Strong Portions, but absolutely not overpowering. It's absolutely worth a try but I doubt that it is a brand, that everyone will like.

        Cheers!

I've tried both Offroad Cranberry and GR#2, and even though I like them both, I still find the Offroad to be way too sweet for my everyday use. It's an occasional treat, but when I get it its most often in loose, which IMO is better than the portion type.

My all time favorite berry-flavored snus is Skruf Cranberry ... Simply adorable

I also have yet to try GR#2. I can honestly say that i'm sure any one of them will taste better than the flavored dip that I have gotten used to. Now that I have found snus and these forums, my head spins thinking about all the new tastes I have yet to try.

On topic with the OR-Cran strong; I have noticed that after having the can open for about 24 hours, the portion bags are popping open on the ends. A couple of them i just tore open after they popped, balled up the snus and popped it loose into my lip (easy solution to the issue).

I do like offroad loose and love rape No2 but one of my most hated portions is skruf tranbar. Maybe I got a bad tin but it tasted of chemicals and the longer i had the tin the worse it got. I've only ever thrown away two cans of snus, skruf tranbar and offroad peach...which tasted like sick :P Never thrown a tin of loose away though.

Hm, yes, maybe you got a bad one. I'm not a heaver (sn)user of berry-snus, but I've had my share of both GR2 and Skruf Tranbär, and I do have one complaint about the Skruf: at several occasions I have found it to 'go bad' very fast. Normally I switch between 2 or 3 different kinds of snus, which means that one tin sometimes lasts for almost two weeks - most often without severe consequences taste wise. The Skruf tends to get kind of sour or bitter. I don't know if it's just because its more noticeable with the full flavored variants than it is with the more 'lo-fi' types ... it could be just that.

You should try i again - and If you still don't care for it, I'll promise to shut up
