SM def. should bring Ettan and Grov over, a classic tobacco flavored snus is the easiest introduction for a person that is already a tobacco (esp. dip) user. But general is what is considered a "classic" snus flavor, meaning that it is tobacco with citrus and pepper, so I can understand why they went that direction.
And I don't think it is fair to characterize general as a snus that "no one likes," all the varieties are always at the top of the Northerners best selling lists. I think people like and use general extensively, they just don't talk about it as much as people that use other varieties (and perhaps think that they are deviating in some way from the norm, and are therefore inspired to be super vocal about it.)
