Got a tub and the Liquorice Snusx flavoring. I mixed a bit on the strong side for the flavor (1ml Flavor + 9ml tab water). The smell of the Liquorice was extremely strong and the whole house smelt like it for days after I mixed this up.

I tried the first finished snus today. Definitely none of the odd smell of the snusx straight from the bucket -- it still had the extremely strong Liquorice smell.

The taste was very similar to the smell -- extremely strong, straight Liquorice without any tobacco or salt undertones. If you ever had these natural black Liquorice candies (not the vines, but the softer chews) it tastes very similar to this, and like those, my mouth is partially numb. It has been in for over an hour without any sign of the flavor ceasing.

Overall, being a black Liquorice fan, I was quite happy with the results, although I think I may use a tad less flavoring next time.

I've written about starting to experiment with this in a couple of threads and now it is time to give my opinion from my first run of the "Gruv" flavoring.

I must say that I really wanted to like this snus as it is an interesting and novel idea in more ways than one. However, after having tried a batch I must say that this is the most godawful snus I've put in my mouth for some time. I even went low on the flavoring (.3 ml for can) and it didn't seem anything like any snus I've tried and it continued to have a funky, skanky overtone similar to the smell of the snus in the bucket.

This stuff just smells funky and artificial. I've grown to like snuses that didn't smell so good, but smell isn't the only problem here. I got the portions accurately measured and equally wet and waited three days before trying. I couldn't keep it in for more than a few minutes. This stuff made me slightly nauseated and it wasn't the nicotine. It burned in a chemically, unpleasant way and I had to take drastic measures to get the artificial taste out of my mouth.

After a small shot of bourbon, two beers and a Skruf tranbar I finally killed the taste in ten or fifteen minutes. I seriously can't understand how anyone could use this stuff even considering the price and ease of storage. Just buy your favorite brand of real snus and dump the cans into ziplocs or vacuum bags to save storage space. The cheaper price isn't worth it if you can't use it.

To be fair, I haven't tried the other flavorings yet and I will have to force myself to do so. I loathe the idea of putting this stuff in my mouth again and I'd rather use American Camel. And I hate American Camel. If anyone can point out any redeeming qualities to SnusX I'd love to hear them.
