Wintergreen Snus Question

Wintergreen snus users - I'm curious.

Did you come to Wintergreen snus because you used it in the past as a dip? Or did you just start using it and like the flavor of Wintergreen? Curious about this.

Wintergreen's teh suck. I'd rather have no snus than wintergreen snus :^D

I just can't get into it, but I know alot of people do, especially those around here. When I ask friends who dip if they want to try snus, 9 times out of 10 their first question is "Do you have any Wintergreen?"

I don't like wintergreen anything. Candy, toothpaste, and certainly not snus. I used Skoal years ago, but I wasn't crazy about the wintergreen then. It was something in the back flavor I found enjoyable. I probably should have gotten Copenhagen. I'm not sure why I didn't tbh :^/

oh yes wintergreen snus was my first taste of wintergreen, NOT!

I don't know anyone who dips but everyone I know likes the taste of wintergreen.
I never associated wintergreen with dip until I came on this forum and now that's all I hear is DIP DIP WINTERGREENS for dippers.
Wintergreen appeals to quite a lot of women that would never dream of dipping.

Never used dip, I came to snus to quit smoking.

My story is kinda funny. The very first true Swedish snus I ever used after coming from Camel Crap and finding this forum, was General Wintergreen.

I thought it was the most vile, disgusting, hiccup-inducing, nastiest stuff ever created by satan himself.

So I threw it in the freezer for a couple weeks while I tried out all the other snus I had ordered, as Sage had suggested. When I came back to it, and got up the nerve to try it again I was like "hmm, this actually aint too bad". Then something happened. I started to actually crave it. Not a nicotine caving, mind you, but a craving for that Wintergreen flavor. Now, I cant live without it. Its absolutely my crack in a can. I use it all day long, using only Thunder Frosted anywhere near as much as I use My General Wintergreen. And believe me, I think Ive tried just about every kind of Swedish snus that can be legally shipped to the USA.

I still do use other types of snus here and there, as there are some others I enjoy - Onyx, Roda, General White, Grov, GR2 etc etc...,and Im now just trying out my hand at some Los, but nothing even comes close to comparing to General Wintergreen for me, nothing. Im lucky they dont make a General Wintergreen Sterk, as I would probably OD myself on nicotine! :lol:


Theres alot of folks around here that like to hunt down every single General Wintergreen post, and counter post about how disgusting it is, how its complete crap, over and over, and over, and over, and over

oh - and over and over and over again like freakin' a broken record, which I think is wrong when we have so many newbies around here still trying to find what works for them. They will state it not as their own personal opinion, but as a true, bona-fide fact, which just isn't the right thing to do, as this forum is designed to help people make decisions on what they might like, not to turn them away from ever trying a product that they might actually love, because someone else states their own opinion of a product as fact. Remember, everyones taste is different. :wink:

I experimented with dip, after I had been snusing for a while. Though I never gave wintergreen dip a try. But I'd still like to try the Beech-Nut wintergreen loose leaf chew.

I never was a dipper, but I have a close friend who dips Kodiak wintergreen, and I always loved the smell of it when he opened his can.

I gave him a can of Thunder wintergreen, and he liked it, but he wound up chewing on it, to maximize the juice, and spitting just like he was dipping

... haven't given up on converting him though.

I've never dipped but I like Wintergreen, both the General and OR loose. But not as an all day, or even everyday snus. I agree with Owen that the same people complain about wintergreen over and over. It gets a bit tiresome.

I could go on and on, over and over about how GR (both of them) taste like slightly rotten ground up pine needles, is not fit for humans, but I would never do that on a public forum. It just wouldn't be right. :roll:

I had a Skoal Wintergreen phase and every now and again get a wild hair for some wintergreen tobacco. I go for Offroad long cut wg.

I do only use it once a week or less though.
