    Tobacco Free Snus?

I know this topic has come up before, but this has to be the worst search engine ever, so I made a new thread, as there is some new items I am seeing now too.

Not sure if I'd buy, but I guess I have a slight curiosity, about how these are. So, has anyone here tried the tobacco free snus? And what kinds? And what was the experience like?

I just now noticed a new brand called "Choice", which has a variety of flavors. Just curious about this, because someone must be buying this stuff.

    XQ'S
    Sprilla
    Onico
    Kickup
    Choice
    Tobak&Nicotinfri
    Energy

This just the brand names I see, and each has a variety of flavors, XQ'S even has a Los. I know there was an older thread about one that used corn that rotten teeth, but I think that was changed?

Just curious. Anyone have experience with these?

I take care of a developmentally disabled adult and he likes to do anything i do so of course when he saw me using snus he wanted to use it too. Since im not about to get him hooked on vitamin N i ordered some of the Onico Peppermint. he loves it. I tried one, and the flavor was pretty good.

I've had the Onico portion and Onico EnbƤr (Juniper) portion but that was before they changed the ingredients (end of 2007). Neither are anything special. The EnbƤr tastes pretty much exactly like GR white portions with no tobacco notes to balance out the juniper flavour so the juniper is too overbearing for my liking. Result = I didn't enjoy it at all.

I've tried the Choice Pepper, Lemon and Apple. They are basically dried peppermint leaves with some flavour added. I found the portions to be dry and uncomfortable and the mint taste to be overpowering. Not an enjoyable experience at all.

Haven't had the Sprilla and Tobak&Nicotinfri but another forum member described them as being slightly herbal and very enjoyable as a substitute. Generally regarded as being the best of the nic-free snus.

I know there is a review of some of the brands on snuscentral as well.

I've tried them all. Or all that I know of. They aren't TOO bad but lack the kick that I need. They are dry and you have to moisten them up with saliva before you tuck them into place with your tonge. I have some Choice on the exchange now.

I'm still stuck in a rut with the OR coffe/van. I have a 2 1/2 year supply so OR won't have to make up another batch for awhile. I try every new snus as it comes available. But can't find one I like more. The Nick & Johnny black is tolerable tho.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.Ā  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Good work my friend. Especially on the offering of an alternative w/o getting him hooked on nic.

There's something called "Smokey mountain" here, dunno if it's Canadian or American. I tried their mint and their grape flavour. It tasted kinda like grape flavoured molasses.

I have some Tobak&Nicotinfri on order. I'm interested in trying anything made by gotlandsnus and it may be a good substitute before sleep. Also, if I ever need to cover up using a tobacco product at work, the can may be handy.

Why the hell would you need to cover that up?

Some places in America are fanatical anti-tobacco, some won't hire you, and some have fired people if they use tobacco. It's not the norm, but has happened. Most places I don't think would care, unless it caused a scene.
