Smell the snus?

Since I started snus, I've heard many different opinions. Some say don't smell it, you will naturally get used to it. Some say smell it and just get used to it, it's not that bad...etc. Some don't care either way. I'm curious as to what your opinions of it are.

I voted smell it.
my reason is simple. if I smell my snus every time i pop some in, my body will start to associate the smell with the sweet sweet flood of endorphins that the nicotine causes, and thus will start to crave it.

Smell it. You gotta smell all tobacco products before you consume them. The aroma is one of its best qualities.

i quickly grew fond of the smell. i love the smell of ettan and my other favs.

smell it? Huh...I'd rub it all over myself. I love to bury my nose deep in a fresh can. <heh heh> many people I know think it's bad but they're probably getting the ammonia of a nice moist one. The snus...not someone's can.

I love the smell. I have to say that I can barely detect the scent of a snus when it's in my lip. I have missed that for years.

Personally, I am very fond of the smell and I feel that it just adds to the experience. Then again, I used to love the smell of a freshly opened pack of cigarettes too.

I'm just weird though... I feel that the smell of anything that's going into my mouth is important... if I can't get over the odor, there's no way it's going in my mouth.

I LOVE SMELLING THE SNUS....i catch myself sniffing the snus with the lid off and then i realize i havent even made a pris yet

Based on my limited experience with snus, I say smell it. Whenever I get snus from GetSnus or Northerner, I can smell the snus just from opening the envelope itself. The stuff I've ordered so far has smelled pretty good right off the bat, and the actual snus hasn't disappointed me.

I have issues here. Every time I smell my snus, I become deathly ill to my stomach.

When I first started using Swedish snus I couldn't handle smelling the non-flavored snus, it smelled gross to me. But now I love to smell it. It helps me to pull out the flavors once it is in my mouth.

I also like to know what it smells like before I put it in there just for knowledge. It is like when my kids were babies, I would taste anything they ate before they ate it, including my breast milk. If it was nasty to me then it was nasty to them and I wouldn't feed it to them.

Sometimes I sniff the snus for a good 5 min before it goes it. Just my opinion.
