i think after awhile most snusers can just stop snusing and have no problem with it

i for one can go days without snusing then go at it again and never lose a moments sleep

ive went a few days then popped in some thunder frosted and oh the joy

i dont think its an addiction after a certain point but more of a prolonged enjoyment

I'm addicted to nicotine, but I use snus because I love it. Yes I chain snus, one portion about every hour and a half, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate each one. I've tried dozens of flavors. I have at least ten flavors in my house. I carry three different flavors when I'm out. I think about and consider the qualities of each and every portion I use. I never did anything close to that when I smoked. The quantity of snus that I use in no way inhibits the quality of the experience I get from using it.

Would you encourage your friends who never smoked to start using snus??? If you answer yes to that question, please know you will be outright condemned here by 95% of the users here.

If you answer no to that question, you just contradicted what you said above.

So I am curious what your answer is.

        And this....

Just makes you sound self important and somehow better than all of us cause you are so very damn well restrained. Yes, I found it all offensive, sorry. I just did.
Wow, I really apologize to everyone for bringing up this topic. I had no idea that it would cause such conflict and negativity.

I don't want to go back and forth with you Sage but I will answer your question about referring friends. If a friend of mine was interested in tobacco I would recommend snus to them regardless of whether or not they have ever smoked cigarettes. I would assume that they are aware that nicotine is highly addictive. I would inform them of the health effects that have been associated with snus and let them make up their own mind. I don't currently know anyone that does not have a nicotine addiction that I would recommend snus to, but it is possible that there are others who would like to try it. Do you believe that there should be no new users of tobacco products? It seems to me that your argument is that nicotine products should be illegal.

But, more importantly, I don't want to offend anyone. I am very sorry for offending you. I hope that I will not be condemned for my position.

Nah, none necessary on my end. I think you're both right, frankly. Good points on both ends.

Agreed! With just a little Tabasco here and there to liven things up a bit!
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I think your topic was fine. This is an open forum and your questions brought up many good opinions, all of which I enjoyed reading and thinking about. That's what open forums are all about, right?

RRK, I have no issues with you ever bringing anything up. Just be prepared for some heat occasionally. But you held your end up well, and know I have zero issues with you personally.

But yeah, the way you phrased certain things bothered me, and I will challenge anyone when that happens here. But that is never to imply that here isn't the appropriate place to have everything out.

So all is good, all is OK.

EDIT...and I love someone that can go back and forth with me.

You're not in the middle. I've appreciated all you had to say...and thanks for that.

Edit: Being in the middle of a group hug is good, right?

                          Depends on the group...

RRK, I gotta say I disagreed with the first idea too, but I wouldn't say it offended me. The second idea, however, is intriguing.

Seems to be the general consensus.

So are you guys starting to think about flavors that you want to try, or better yet recipes for making snus from scratch?
