snus newbie - need advice

oh great man, i'd like to hear a review. although, i read somewhere that it was horrible.(smpost.net) but i can't really take many of those guys seriously.

Yeah, people either love Offroad, or hate it. But, apparently with this long cut variant, the flavoring is going to be more natural. Ah yes, smpost, a bunch of 13 year olds pretending to be big boys and exchanging insults with one another :lol: Don't worry, if it's no good, I'll let you know.

I have a can of each coming as well. I'm looking forward to trying the original, but the Wintergreen I might put off for a while. I'm just not a big fan of minty tobacco. But who knows? Maybe it'll be good.

If you order it today, you'll probably see it next Thursday or Friday if you go regular post. Waiting for snus seems like it stretches time out over an eternity, but don't worry when it comes it's like christmas

I concur with Alex on all his points.

Waiting for those cans to show up, I'm like an expectant father outside of a delivery room. Except, it's debatable as to what is more beautiful; a package of snus or a newborn child. At least snus doesn't come covered in afterbirth.

well i ordered them just now, with regular priority mail. it cost me about 40 bucks for one prismaster, 1 can of gustavus maxi, one onyx portion, 2 general loose, 3 skruf stark..

i didn't get any nick and johnny because they were out so i had enough to try some portions, i wanted to try the onyx because i heard it was good and they were out of granit maxi portions so i got gustavus. are those any good? P.S. thanks alot for all the help guys, not all i have to do is play the waiting game.....

I've never tried that the Gustavus, but it's on my list (hell, they're all on the list!) Make sure you keep the thread alive and let us know what you think... welcome to the dark side :lol:

I see you have already ordered, but I will post anyway in case some other new user reads this thread.

I am a long time long cut dip user and smoker.
Now a loose and portion snus and part time smoker.

Since the first portion of Onyx hit my top lip, dip has never hit my bottom lip (still have a can and a half of skoal around here somewhere)

American dip and loose snus do not compare to me. They are just a completely different experience. Skoal bandits type American dip and portions are not even close to the same.

My regular daily snus Skruf Stark I enjoy both in loose and portion, with the only difference being where I am and what I am doing.

Portion at work, on the go and with a cup of coffee. Loose sometimes at work, usually at lunch time, and at home in the evening.

I will own an ice tool, but baking by hand is really not that hard.
I own a prismaster, but prefer the results of hand baking.

Everyone has a favorite snus, as do I, but really enjoy the variety of snus.
I cant help but take 4 or 5 tins to work with me every day, just not knowing what I will be in the mood for. Always a tin of Onyx, Skruf Stark portion, and Diplomat Portion, along with 2 or 3 others.

When your order arrives forget your Kodiak, its just not the same, its much much better.

i hope my snus comes in today or tomorrow... i have a fishing trip sunday(but i'm leaving saturday evening) and i hope i have some onyx portions to try out on the way.... i think i'll go to the post office right now and check.. i've laid off dip and i'm having nic fits like crazy!

If strong snus is what you crave, then I whould jump on the bandwagon
and recomend N&J or skruf sterk.
both are very injoyable.
