Ok, there has got to be some rules here for anyone trying to play the “Catch sage if you can” game.

Please please spare us the 950 junk posts.

I rarely will say something simple like "ok" or "got mine today" or a simple 1 or two word response. Usually if I respond to something I genuinely feel it's something I want to write about.

What’s your favorite: Bugs Bunny or the Flintstones?
Why having a billion posts with only 25 worth reading is anyone’s goal beats the hell out of me. And it will get old for the rest of us real fast. Not only that, it dilutes the content of of the forum (kind of like in house spam)

Most of my posts are good content. And any question like "what's your favorite?" is in the People and the World Around Us, which as long as it doesn't beat the political dead horse should be okay to talk about, like the "Favorite Action Movie" thread I started.

To say it quite simply - there are some people I wouldn't want to catch up to. Sage, Lxskllr, etc, alot of people with high post counts over mine I don't plan to catch up to, and if I ever do, I fully expect you guys to be double what you are now.

It isn't a game for me. But as I said earlier, my life is fairly simple. I have a few loves. My daughter (mainly), my job, and snus. I don't do much outside of that because women are the devil, and will remain that way until my mind changes, which probably won't be for a while.

But I love SnusOn. That's no lie. Posting here is alot of fun, talking with all of you is alot of fun, and I'll continue to post here. It's not a "catch up to Sage" game or anything like that, it's a "I like to post on SnusOn" and a "I like to reply on SnusOn" game. Which is the point of joining any good forum.

I'll keep an eye on the quality of the content of my posts, though. But I know I'm helping people, I get PM's and Emails all the time from people saying thanks for the advice, or my reviews have helped, and that's one of the main reasons I have a blog, a website, and one of the top reasons I'm active on SnusOn. Because I know how confusing snus can be when you start out, and if I can do ANYTHING to eliminate that confusion, or at least alleviate it, I will try. It's the purpose of a forum.

But I felt like explaining. Because my post count rising is just natural. It'll continue to rise. I don't plan on going anywhere else, I call this place home and I call you all friends.

I agree your post do help folks. I have posted several times to that affect, thanking you for your reviews or other comments. I just noticed that as your posts increased so did all the friendly back and forth about catching sage. I just did not want the quality of your posts to start suffering because of a competition. Believe me I have seen it happen before on other forums.

I also agree that Snuson is a great community. You SHOULD post and enjoy it. Also, by content I do not mean all serious stuff (just read my inane posts). Snuson is not stuffy nor do we take ourselves too seriously here. That is a big part of what makes this forum so great. To change it, would really make the forum less than what it is.

Like I said I just did not want to see things START to head in a wrong direction. That’s all. No more than that. And I really DO appreciate the help that you give newbies and others on the forum. Thanks for your reply and sorry if I caused any unnecessary grief.

glad we're cool. i didnt know if you were implying anything or not. my posts increasing is mainly due to my personal life calming down and my job calming down. most of this year has been quite busy and stressful, but now i actually have some freetime, so i use it mostly here.

i agree though, what seperates us is the quality of the posts, not the quantity. i could look at all of sages post or lxskllrs posts or yours or justins or toms or anyones really that has a high count, and probably 95% of them are good, strong, quality posts. we do BS sometimes, due to our ADD, but we have the most strong, quality posters here i've seen on ANY forum.

There is a trick to high posts counts though. As many posts as I have, it has never seemed like I am posting "for the sake of posting" I am not saying that you do. But at times, it seems like you have to show up in every thread. Just always make sure you are adding value. Even if that value is just silliness sometimes.

Really, I post what I do, because I like the subject, and I work at a desk all day with access to the forum. Post numbers though, I think if high, more shows you have the ability/time to be able to post alot. And not a mark of superiority.

More truth to that than not. I am assuming one day, when I finally recover a bit more, emerge from my self imposed shell, I would really hope y'all don't see me around near as much as you do now.

Snuson has been critical in my surviving this time. I lost my best friend, I need the connections I find here just to survive. But I do hope I have brought some value as I sucked y'all dry. :lol: :lol:
