Where I work the coffee is disgusting. It is horribly weak (color and flavor) and has shitloads of caffeine. So not only does it taste like rancid tea it makes me jittery as hell and goes through me faster than Niagara Falls.
So after an hour of having some I end up at the urinal almost unable to "go" because I'm shaking so bad I'm worried about getting it all over my shoes.
Seriously though I bring my own. I grind my beans every day. Life is too short to drink bad coffee.
I usually buy Starbucks by the pound or get a mix from a local coffee shop.
As far as snus. I prefer an Ettan White, which I'm out of, or a Knox. Any snus except mint will do for me. I do prefer portions with my coffee. I've attempted loosing with coffee before, but hot liquids and loose snus don't mix well. At least it's hard to keep separate if you know what I mean.
I will try some Kanel now after reading this thread. I'm not a big fan of flavored coffee either, but that might be a combo I'd like.
Thanks for all the great suggestions! I grind own and take it with me in a Thermos everyday. Put in couple orders today and will be trying some newb combos starting tommorow on those that I have.
Other then the occasional 17 sylable latte from starbucks, my coffees always the good stuff black with nuthin but the snus in my mouth for flavor. I'll report back with the good, the bad and the ugly(that will be my coffee Los mudslide smile)
Mlkramer, I guess I'll throw my suggestion in since we have some similarities going. I too drink only good coffee, like baker said there's no time for weak, crap-ass coffee like most people drink. My favorite is Torrafezionne (or some such spelling) but if there is a bargain on the many local Seattle brands, I'll go with that (except Starbucks). I too use Odens exclusively in the morning, but I've never tried the kanel. Not sure why, but the Original ES has in the past several months become my #1 go-to snus, portion for work, and los at home. I never ever get tired of it. Pretty soon I wouldn't be surprised if I use it at least 70% of the time. I use the portion or los almost every day with my morning coffee, and if I feel I need to mix it up, Ettan los or Grov los. Ettan los especially goes great with coffee, but most days, gotta have my Odens ES. Maybe just switch between kanel and original? I can't say, haven't branched out to kanel yet. I said that. I will next time, I promise.

I enjoy both crap-ass coffee and very good coffee. I don't know if you've ever experienced the beauty of Intelligentsia coffee, roasted the day before you buy it, but it's pure heaven. I've never had anything so good. It's all direct trade, and each blend is only sold in-season. They only operate 4 or 5 shops in the country, and most of them are in Chicago, but I believe they sell their coffee to some independent cafe's too. As for crap ass coffee, there are some situations where I want it: road trips, studying, hangovers, diner breakfasts, etc. Dunkin Donuts is my go-to road trip brew, and the swill you find in a university cafeteria just really hits the spot for some reason. Starbucks I do not like, I find they roast the beans way too much, so much that you can't tell the difference between the cup you drank and the piss that came out later.
I love a great cup of coffee. I have been going to cafe's since I was 18, can be a total coffee snob if I wanted to. Berkeley was a cafe city, reason why it was called the "left Bank" in the 50's. Had at least 20 different cafe's.
So I have been buying my own beans for 25 years, strongly prefer African coffees, or Indonesian coffees.
Having said all that, I get blinding headaches if I don't have caffeine by a certain time every day. I WILL drink anything available. I sold alarm systems in home when I first got out of school years ago. If they served me Sanka, I drank it with a smile.
But give me a great cup of Ethiopian, and I am in heaven
I have an espresso maker at home. My favorite is two shots of espresso, a splash of half and half, and a bit of hot water plus a Claq Qui portion. If you want the Starbucks variant, order a Cafe Americana with half and half.
If I'm drinking coffee, it's usually Jamaican Blue Mountain or Kona (fresh ground) with skruf stark loose or general portion, though I'm starting to like it with Retro.

They have several different kinds from different parts of the world to choose from. So if one doesn't work for you, another will!

The Americanos are what I get, just iced. Do have an espresso machine here, which I only use Starbucks Decaf Espresso Roast in. As for regular coffee, I keep both Starbucks Decaf Verona and Decaf Sumatra to use in one of my coffee presses. So guess I'm one of the coffee snobs who has to have her Starbucks
im pretty jealous of all your fancy coffee connoisseurism. i just drink whatever, usually folgers, always black. i got some disgusting free coffee sent to me by marlboro for some reason, its called arbuckles and it pretty much tastes like ashtray.
