    General Snus: Why so different?

I have been snusing the General White, Regular and Los. All are so different! The Los tastes nothing like the portions. The taste of the White and the Regular are really not close. How can it be that the "same" General flavor is so different tasting??

But seriously, it seems to me, that they would use the One Taste, their los, and then portion this up, some whites, and some regular. Do we think they use different blends for the different cans?

They have to be using different blends.
              They are all really different.

                  Ding Ding Ding...

Most of you remember the "New Coke" fiasco right? If they had kept the new formula, do any of you really think Pepsi would have taken the lead? I don't... General has the name, and the market share to do whatever they want. Maybe they formulate the different products for a perceived target audience. I think they could make them all very close, if they wanted to(probably not exact though), but choose not to do so. I have a interesting observation regarding nasal snuff that I'll post in the appropriate thread later today. I think the details may shed some light on the General discrepancy.

General needs to market more in the US. After trying General original portion I will never use Copenhagen again. That stuff is superior in every way. US Smokeless tobacco company had better watch out.

                        meh.
                        General Loose

Is a rich and spicy snus with a hit of pepper and elements of citrus. It originates from the 19th century.

                        General Portion

Is the most popular snus in Sweden. it's a rich and spicy portionsnus with a hit of pepper and elements of citrus. It was launched in 1985.

                        General White Portion

It's a rich and spicy white portionsnus with a hit of pepper and elements of citrus.
Quoted from Northerners page for General.

So honestly I think the only thing to attribute the different flavors to is simply that the snus is presented differently. It's impossible for a portion, a pris, and a white portion of the same flavor to taste exactly the same.
I cite the Ettan line as proof.

Grov's pretty close between lös and regular portion. I've never had the white version.
