My life otherwise kinda sucks right now. Motorcycle is badly injured, as everyone remembers, I was without Baby for 2 1/2 months about 5 months ago, looking at similar situation again.


So really nice to have something fun and good to focus on, so thank you everyone for participating!!!

Do you know what's wrong with the bike?

I hear you sage, my bike is in the shop right now too. I'm waiting to hear if it's the crank (~$800) or part of the transmission (much cheaper). I'm screwed if it's the crank. Been taking the bus to work everyday and it BLOWS.

I forgot to bring cans to work with me today. I'll do my best to remember tomorrow and send 'em off.

It might be a good time to learn how to do the work yourself. A motorcycle is a pretty manageable size. Most of the stuff isn't too difficult with patience and attention to detail.

Have no idea yet what is wrong, only one tech there today. They will call me as soon as they diagnose.


But she is still under warranty. So no, not my problem yet. At least money isn't an issue, just time. When engine was rebuilt, I had to wait for 10 weeks for parts. I rented a scooter for about $260 a month then, but really can't afford to do that. So walking the 4 miles each way to work, and making use of cab on Saturday to pick me and my laundry up, take me to shop and I work 4 hours, ten pick me and my clean laundry up, go to grocery store and wait as I grab some thngs, then home. So maybe $30 a weekend for cab.

Life, you just deal.

I'm glad I saw this. Maybe only looking at new posts since my last visit is making me miss some things.

PM to come. I wish I would have seen this earlier, just got home from the post office. Mailing something to London has proven to be a PITA. Got it done though.

So just an update, snus starting to arrive. So cool to get to work every day and see packages waiting for me. Snus may not be for me but I still love ripping open the packages.


And just to clarify my instructions for everyone (As I have had to do so privately like 6 times now)


All I ask is you SEND it by Saturday, don't care when I get it. I expect to send new Box mid week next week. So if you still want to help, you have time. As long as you put it in the mail no later than Saturday. (You can send later, but it will just end up being for me. Not a bad thing, but.....)

When I send it, I will get and post tracking number so we can all watch as it gets to DD

OK, so update time.

I have now received 23 tins of snus, plus some sample packages of General. And to be honest, I think it would make Box proud, it really is a great mix.

I *think* I have gotten everything that has been sent to me, but will still wait for two more days before I send out New Box.

When I do, I will take a photo of New Box on my head, just to keep in the spirit of everything. I will post the names only of those who contributed as well. Once I know DD got the box, I will also post the exact contents of the box, and will give DD a list oif exactly who sent what so he can thank if he wishes, but will keep those specific details private otherwise.

And for the folks who have told me they wanted to but couldn't send in time, and the one, unnamed person who's name I won't reveal to protect their reputation but can't seem to read numbers right :wink: :lol:
