What's your opinion of Elixyr energy snus? Readin around i noticed that most people hate the stuff, but those who like it, love it.

I hated it, totally regret buying it, i used 1 portion then wasted the rest. The can looks cool about halfway up my snus wall now.

I'm not sure where I fall in here. I guess I'll vote I don't like it, but I find the flavor interesting. Sage sent me a can, and I fully intend on finishing it, but I won't get it again. "man this tastes strange", "I should spit it out", "No I shouldn't, it's sort of compelling" It's almost like weird masochism :^D

It actually made you feel sick?? How does red Bull make you feel. Should be close to identical as the two share the same two active ingredients.

If you answered "disgusted" due to the flavor, that wasn't what I was asking.

Eyxr plays a certain role. Of course it tastes strange, no way to sufficiently mask the caffeine and especially the taurine, same reason Red Bull tastes as it does.

But Elyxr will make *most* people feel really good. It is the cheapest way to do what I need each morning. Each portion costs me about five cents, vs two dollars for a red Bull.


Taste has zero to do with anything as far as my use of elyxr.

LOL. My thoughts exactly. I probably average a portion every 3 weeks, if that. My single can lives open and damn-near finished in my freezer. I'm kind of proud that I've almost finished it.

I haven't tried the "Power Energy" yet but I really liked the original Elixyr. It tasted a bit like classic American dip in some ways but much better. I guess my tastes are a bit different since I'd take Kronan or Granit over General and luv Offroad Original Strong(not into flavored Offroad at all though). I'm looking forward to trying the Power Energy Elixyr, even with all the bad reviews.

I tried it a long time ago, but I was already counting on disliking it due to the fact that I don't really use/drink/eat anything with "energy" printed on it (usually means a ton of sugar and tweek jitters).

It did not have quite the energizing effect that I was waiting for, but I could definitely feel something. That godawful taste is what killed it for the most part; best way I can describe it is when you have heartburn real bad, burp harder than you should and throw up in your mouth a little. :P

To be fair, I do realize that it has a place.......I'm just never going near that place again. :wink:

I ended up giving the can away that I bought to a friend at work. Main reason is the same reason I can't use offroad very much. For whatever reason, the 2 elixyr flavors I tried both start to have a bitter run way too early. I like their peppermint, but I can't keep it in for very long at all.

I like it, it works great for it's intended purpose. Yeah it tastes funky but so does any energy drink. One does'nt get an energy drink for the taste, it's for the effects. Same goes for elixyr and like with the energy drinks, if ya use them for awhile you get use to taste.

I'll always keep a can around, never know when ya will have one of those nights where you can't sleep and will need some help to get through the next day. I've chain snused elixyr portions in situations like that to get through the work shift a few times already. Makes a nice difference.

Hmm, just read the wiki on taurine and it isn't supposed be something which gives you energy, I didn't proceed much past the wiki but, I stopped drinking red bull cause the stuff never gave me energy and just made me feel like I had to throw up, and i suspected it was the taurine. Plus cats need it and can't make it, and um you know why ground up bull balls are eaten? Taurine... Anyways, maybe I just expected too much, and I never get any energy from caffeine other than when I take too much and get the jitters.

I have a can in the fridge, would my results from a taste test be desirable?

I know I am a caffeine addict and without it headaches ensue, don't notice an energy boost though, but avoiding the high fructose corn syrup in soda (specifically moutain dew) could make me a convert, although I love coffee....

I'm going to put one in and report back in a few days, hell what's it gonna do, kill me?

It smells funny, should have a small image of Mr. Clean Swedish version on it.

Ok, so I finished this sucker.

Taste: Pretty good actually,in my odd way of describing flavors I would say it tastes like tobacco with hints of non flavored tang (i.e. no orange if there were such a thing). Not at all unpleasant, but not ice cream either.

Mouth Feel: Just odd, granted I may have had it in too long 1 1/2 hours and it started to turn a little bitter. Feels like it shredded the inside of my lip, gums feel normal.

Energy, mood change: Nada, nothing. No change.

Will try it first thing in the morning for a week to 2 and for different lengths and see what happens.

I've gotten away more from ther bergamonts, though havent quit altogether

Crap that's too many, still don't care for the bergamonts as much as I used to when I started, havent met one I didn't like. Though I hated Roda Lacket and Claq Qui when I started and I love them now.

The Camel US stuff doesn't even count, its like paper candy dots without the dots, the smell is good, the taste is not, but not in a repulsive way.
