Views on Skruf

I like me some Skruf.

Skruff Stark has been growing on me very well and I'm beginnning to appreciate what it can do. I think the first tin I had wasn't quite up to scratch.

It will definately be on my next order.

Well sage's experiment convinced me to jump back on the los train, and I'm rockin' a pris of Skruf Stark Los right now.

The first thing I noticed is that it is a bit gummy which helps form up the pris. I did something between a bake and a hillbilly because I really don't get any satisfaction from making the "perfect" shape. So far it is holding together great.

There is not as much flavor, but I think that's due to me not juicing it like I would a portion. This mother is high in nicotine though! I'm starting to feel chills, and my eyes are going a bit wonky!

I think that if I continue to use los, this will definitely be a regular!

Thus far Skruf stark has been good to me.... A lil strong. I got a headache but at the very end of the day. The 2nd day I had another head ache but much later in the day. Same thing for the third but each day it gets later and later in the day. I prefer the taste of the loose. It allows me the freedom of serving size.

The portions I fell like the jury is still out. Its not that they don't taste good its just the bag hurts and pokes at my teeth/gum. I try to lick both side of the portion before I place it to lubricate it. I am thinking about finishing out the loose and freezing the portions and jumping to the next thing to try. We shall see. I keep having friends give me their free coupons for Camel snus. *sigh* it really sucks to have to take Free snus .. lol!


So far I cant get enough of the loose ... but i have to watch my intake as it is VERY Strong. It makes Copenhagen look weak ... But you really cant compare the two as they are Two DIFFERENT way of taking in tobacco.

I must say that I have really developed a liking for Skruf Stark portions; I am gradually entering the world of sterks after much resistance.

That being said, I am also patiently awaiting the return of Knox portions.....where are you, my old friend? :cry:

Interesting. I've got through several tins of Skruf stark los recently, and I find it a complete bitch to bake... With General I can just grab a lump off the main mass and bake it a bit with my fingers, but Skruf is powdery and the only way I can bake it is to take a pinch and put it in my palm and slowly bake it that way.

Is this normal for Skruf, or have I got a dodgy batch? The date is August, so I don't think it's gone off...

Well, not officially done, but it's looking like that may be a possibility. They just said they were having production problems and left it at that.
