    Help a Seasoned Snus-er

Ok, Im still enjoying my General Kick that im on but im trying to find out whatll be next on my menu in about a month or so.

I love Gotlands Gul and will be ordering a roll of it for sure.

    My question is this...

I want to try some other snus similar in the General/Gotlands Department.

I dont care much for flavored snus at all.

I havent had Phantom Brown,Knox, Granit or LD.

Im kinda confused on which to sample next.

Ive had all others but for some reason I havent had those.

Im still somewhat sensitive to High Nic snus so im keeping it in the reg 8mg range but would love some feedback on what you all think about the ones im interested in.

If there is other snus with a Plain Tobacco/Rich Tobacco/Bergamot flavor I havent listed please feel free to let me know.

Please, No Grov recommendations, it just has some off flavor I dont care for.

    Thanks

Similar to General/Gotland would be LD and Granit.

Knox tastes like Skruf(surprise :^D), but not so much the stark lös. It's lighter, and a bit more flowery.

The Phantom Brown is a plain tobacco flavor, along the lines of Grov, but different. It's rapidly becoming my favorite "plain tobacco" snus.

Honestly, I'd get everything you mentioned, They're all low-mid priced brands, so you're not out a lot of money. The only one I'm not crazy about is the Knox. It's good, and it's a quality suns, it's just not what I look for in a snus flavor.

    Edit:
Gustavus would be a good one to try also. It's General styled, but saltier, and a bit earthier.

MIght have to just get a can of each.

I just dont really like the grind of V2 Products. Feels like playdough in my lip but their flavors have been good.

Gustavus tasted like Dill Pickles to me and so did Kronan.

I love Dill Pickles and all but not in tobacco.

Hmmmm, ill weigh my options, though im glad you responded X because seems me n you have somewhat similar flavor preferences.

I've been really digging Pall Mall/Lucky Strike/Camel recently.

Nice mellow tobacco flavor and all three have a great mouth feel.

They are all so similar it's almost like taking 3 hot twins out on a date

All three are tobacco based flavors with a hit of bergamot. I am not sure if you have tried those but they are pretty nice.

try Taboca (not the marlboro one)

its got a heavy bergamot flavor and a hint of fig. its really under rated, iv not even seen a mention of it on the forums which is sad because it is a really good high quality snus.

I'm assuming we are talking lös here?

In that case I'd say Ettan. Currently it features in every one of my orders and the simple tobacco taste sits nicely alongside Skruf Stark lös, Gotlands Yellow and General.

Actually, I'd also suggest trying Skruf Stark lös. I know you prefer regular strength snus but I have found that the nicotine difference is not that much different to Gotlands. I think Gotlands is something like 9mg/g and Skruf stark is 10mg/g so even though it is a "stark" it doesn't have that sledgehammer effect. And it tastes absolutely brilliant.

Knox is ok, but too flowery for me. Same with Gustavus. I have a can open at the moment and made it through about half a can before I got bored with the taste and cracked open a can of Gotlands Gul.

Ps: Taboca to me tastes like a watered down version of the Gotlands Gul portions.

^ very interesting, maybe you had an old can? It has a pretty strong aroma and flavor of bergamot every can i have had, never really got any maple, rose or straight citrus tastes out of it...
(unless your talking about the marlboro snus called toboca?)

I just remembered tre ankare is another good snus for a rich tobacco flavor, another great snus that is strangely underrated...

Gustavus is very very good. Maybe give it another whirl.

Knox of course also. One of my "open and finish" looses that never makes it long enough to worry about whether it got dry choices.

I would have to say Granit is somewhat similar to General IMHO.

Not bad for a cheaper option.

Heard the phantom brown also tastes like dill pickles. I love Granit and LD original los. Two of my favorites and their pretty inexpensive too.
