Help Sage choose his lös

Sounds like it's settled sage...

1) Blue (which I haven't tried yet but also ordered because of Xobe -- still in the freezer, it's up next)

2) Thunder (I initially didn't care for the taste, and it's still not high on my list taste-wise, but it sure has the lasting power of the Thunder varieties -- a pris lasts as long as you want it to)

3) Another vote for Skruf Stark. (I know you've tried it already, but it's absolutely wonderful. Deserves another visit!)

Hope your los experience is better this time around. Snus on!

Ettan. It's so much different (and superior) to the portions that it's a must try so you can appreciate the differences, and what ettan is supposed to taste like.

OK, I am realizing we have a problem here Houston. If were to ask all of you for directions from point A to point B, I would have each of you telling me to go a different way with 2 of you insisting I need to dig a tunnel straight through the earth to China to get there and one saying I need to make a rocket out of bamboo.

And bakerbarber, no mixed roll for me. I am somewhat limited in how much los I will buy. Have the kcetool and need to make sure I get enough portons to last me at least a month with what I still have in cold storage. I only buy every other month and funds are somewhat limited.

If I decide to keep on with los, I might do a mixed roll the 2nd order. But honestly, I have been around l;long enough, read enough, I should be able to make my own choices.

I'm mainly portions these days, but I have tried a bit of loose and still have a pris from time to time:

1) Grov (My first favorite, pure tobacco flavor).

2) Granit (Also very good, and cheap!)

3) Skruf Stark ('nuff said!)

4) I also really liked LD Gold (sadly discontinued). I still have 2 cans that I've been hesitant to break open, because once they're gone they're gone.


And if the blue loose is anything like the blue portions I would try to dissuade you. That's some nasty stuff!

I've got an idea: dig up that old tally of peoples top snuses that someone did. It's a bit out of date, but seeing as how loose options haven't changed too much, It would be a good guide.

someone can appreciate this: when under the influence of magic mushrooms for the first and so far only time, I was just getting into snus and had both loose and portions available in the fridge. I checked both out carefully, and portions seemed just about the coolest thing in the world, and loose the least cool. I know I was just whacked out on goof balls, but it stuck with me. Along for a love of room-temperature drinking water

This thread is really helping me decide what to order as well when it's time. The past couple months of gotten way more into lös that previously, using it exclusively when I'm at home. There are still so many I have not tried. In fact it should be pretty easy to list those I have tried:

Ettan (pretty good, I still find Ettan to lack strong flavor in los and portion)
Grov, Skruf Stark, Montecristo (my 3 favorites so far)
Gottlands Gul (slight letdown based on raves and reviews, but I def. like it)
Thunder (lasts forever and ever)
Roda (stays together almost as well as Skruf)
Knox (another slight letdown)
General (ok)

Waiting to crack open: Blue, Goat Rape, Odens Sterk

What other Phantom products are recommended? I still don't know how I'll like the Blue. What's the fuss about Landstroms? And do they still make it? And finally, (sorry sage not trying to hijack your thread) is Granit heavily flavored? Did someone say it tastes a bit like General? Screw it I'm rambling. I can just search for the answers. Carry on with sage...

OK, so I place my order tomorrow morning and after reading through the threads, I have decided to order the following.

Phantom Blue - Just because. I never really cared for the portions, but have it on good authority that the lös is so much better

Thunder - well, cause I am in love with Thunder and must see how the lös is

Now, my two choices from reading the thread.

Goteborgs Prima Fint - I have always heard great things about this one, and it isn't available as a portion

Grov - I know this is a favorite of so many folks


I am staying away from high test stuff other than the Thunder. For now, at least, my portions will carry me for that. And for the most part lately, I seem to use the hard stuff much more at work than at home. Besides, I have already had Skruff Stark lös so want to try new ones. And as I said, I have an old can of Ettan buried in my freezer I can pull back out.

So as soon as I wake up, I will place my order for 4 cans of lös and a shiny new stainless steel 3ml Icetool. I am so excited to play with this. I'll let everyone know how it is going next week once everything arrives.

I just tried Phantom los....wow! I have to agree with those who said its great. The pris formed so nicely and help together for a good 40 mins. The flavor is great....nice and subtle. I hate the overpowering flavors. Onyx for example is just a bit too much flavor for me.

I'm looking forward to your reviews on los!

So just one last follow-up. Placed order at about 3AM this morning. Waited up to see my pay hit my account. Ordered a beautiful Stainless 3ml Icetool, and also added in a can of Gotland Yellow to my Blue, Thunder, Grove and Prima Fint. Although I have never cared much for the portions, the los gets such strong reviews.

So hopefully, by next weekend, look for my stories about how everything goes.
