I think the ones you have ordered will give you a good introduction to tobacco flavoured snus although you should check out some of the ones we have mentioned if you end up liking it

    Hi,

I haven't tried Dip yet, because it is hard to get in Germany, and I too don't like the whole spitting-thing.

Anyhow, I too recommend Ettan, it satisfies, since 1822, just like Cope! It seems to be not only the oldest brand, but - like phish already said - also the one with the purest tobacco taste. Despite of having only 8mg/g, it also works for me, nicotine-wise. You may find other favorites, but it is a brand, that will hardly disappoint anyone IMHO.

Skruf Stark and N&J are also very good brands with a little 'extra nicotine-kick'.

    Cheers!

Hiya, N&J is good, nice tobacco taste and strong nicotine. The granite snus is salty and lemony(ie??), very much like general.
I haven't tried grovnus though, let us know!

I agree about the wintergreen dip. I tried it once and that was all it took for me to know I didnt like it at all.

I keep reading about N&J. I have already ordered my first shipment of snus from northerner containing Kronan, Granit & Grovsnus. I havent heard these names listed on anyone frav list but I ordered before I found this forum. So we will see if I like any of these.

I have tried US dip (sent to me by a friend in the US - naughty I know but, what the hell) N&J is nearly as strong as Copes black, well to me anyway
The wintergreen snus though, does not seem as strong as the Dip wintergreen products, I find the US wintergreens to be way too strong.
Oh! I like the Ettan offerings to, they taste gorgeous.

Welcome to the wonderful world of snus

I live in england and dip is illegal here so i have never tried it but IMHO the best snus for pure smoky tobacco taste is ettan.

If you want portions then general onyx has a pure taste and high nicotine, although (as has been said on this board before) onyx are quite 'rich' so might not be good for a beginner.

Another option is nick & johnny. Made by the same people as general but with out the citrus taste. Also high in nicotine so good for an ex-smoker.

Personally loose ettan is my 'everyday snus' interspersed with other more exotic portions and loose tins

I am just getting into snus. I am an ex smoker (just quit a few weeks ago) who still likes my nicotine. I put in an order on Tuesday (still waiting for delivery) of several different portions brands. I found a place to buy General snus here locally (out dated and expensive) but I wanted to try it. I hate the taste. It taste like Citronella which is what we use as a bug repellant here. Im not downing anyone who likes General but it is not for me.

I love the idea of Snus. A no spitting, healthier way to intake my beloved nicotine but I got to find a brand that suites my taste. Price is not a factor for me, as I have spent an average of + $8 a day on my Marlboros and I dip/snus a lot less than a can a day. For those that have used/tried American dip I like Copenhagen but do not like Skoal at all. I knew when I was reading through the different brands that anything with citrus did not sound good to me and I know now I hate it.

Are there any brands with a taste that somewhat compares to Copenhagen? What brands have a rather strong natural tobacco taste?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
