After posting here, they sent me 3 other tins to try. They were all variations on a theme, but I liked #3 the best. It had more salt than the first tin. It's quite tasty; I'm gonna be sorry when it's gone.Originally posted by XobelootBump.
Had a couple people ask me if I had tasted this. I have not, but I believe that Ix has done well describing it.
I'm hoping they go with #3 for the big run, but the first tin, and #1 were good also. #2 was a bit strange. I think they were going for a stronger juniper taste, but it sometimes tasted like burning Lexan :^D It was one of those flavors that would pop out if you focused your mind on the wrong thing, if that makes any sense.

Question to v2:
Why is v2 improving so much? I've been trying all the new Thunders, and the quality is top-notch, apart from the "Wintergeen" spelling. I had a very negative opinion of Elixyr, Offroad Cranberry, and Phantom Blue (portions). The portion material was weird, and there was this artificial flavor that I can't really describe. On the other hand, the Offroad WG long cut was ok.
But now v2 is becoming my favorite snus producer. What happened? Did v2 decide to buy more expensive raw materials, or did they just learn from earlier customer feedback?

I think v2 improvement is directly connected to heeding customer feedback. They weren't working with centuries old recipes, or even recipes from the 70's like other manufacturers, so it took some tinkering. Since then they've stayed on the cutting edge and kept up interest and sales because of it. I also see a bright future

We have done a bit of all; more expensive raw materials, new tobacco and customers’ feedback.
