Raddleman gets his lös cherry popped!

    Hi guys,
Well, finally, I got my first los through today (Offroad Wintergreen & Longcut) and a prismaster. And...I'm converted. I can see the appeal of the process/ritual of baking and seeing exactly what you are getting. Reminds me in part of time as a hand roller (roll your own cigarettes). It's good to think I'm now trying the way snus was originally taken.

A few teething problems with the pris master, but I'm getting the hang of it now. It does seem to make bizarre pillow-type prises, so I just bake it at the end. I think I'll give it a few days, just to make sure this isn't a fad, and then I'll be ordering some rolls.

:?: As some of you may know, I am quite a fan of the flavoured snuses, so would appreciate advice for choosing los. I think I'll try gotland grey, maybe. Let me know.

This is not to say that i'll stop using portions, they definitely have their place. I can't envisage stumbling out of bed and replacing my thunder WG with a half-baked ( ) pris in my gob.

And a retrospective big thank-you to lxskllr for suggesting I try lös, and indeed snus in the first place, all the way over on snuffhouse hill. Cheers mate.

Anything Gotland's is good IMO. Some people here find them to be a tad bitter but it's a really clean bitterness, bit like a pint of bitter.

Glad to hear you're trying the los. My fav right now is probe los. You might really like the nordstrmmens limited. If you like the OR wintergreen you might try some more of those. I have the wintergreen and the icemint and they are both good. I also like gotlands yellow. If you want to try some more traditional tobacco ones, I highly reccomend grov, general, ettan, roda,...Ok I like just about all the loose available haha! Cheers!

Probably any of the V2s would be a good choice for you. The only lös I've thrown out so far has been Kronan. That crap's unusable :^/

Offroad Cranberry Loose is one of my new favorites in loose now. I actually mixed a little with the Mandarine from the Nordstrommen Limited today and found it very nice. On its own its a great flavor.

Which V2s guys? Nordstrommen? Phantom? -is phantom a flavoursome one? Man I can't get enough of this los, I'm a total convert lol.

:?: Hey one more question, I am defo getting an icetool in my next order. Taking into account that I use 2 80% prismaster portions at once (I've stopped chaining now with los) which tool would you get? -it's a lot of dollar, I wanna get the right one.

I just started on los too. Just got my buysnus order today with my prismaster.

I got the Phantom Blue, and Roda Lackett in los today.

I've been enjoying Gotlands Julesnus for a little more than a week now.

I'm stoked to try them all!

I'd say Phantom Blue, and the Nordströmmen. I'm not the biggest V2 fan, but you've enjoyed the varieties you've had so far, so you shouldn't have the objections that I do with it.

The Phantom Blue has an odd flavor imo, but it's not /bad/, it just isn't what I look for in a snus. The Nordströmmen isn't an all day snus, but it's great as a dessert, or occasional pris.

My personal favorites are anything from Gotland. That choice is almost as controversial as V2 though :^D It's pretty distinctive, and it seems to be a love/hate snus like V2 is.

                  Edit:
I'd get the steel 3ml IceTool. I like the smaller pris, as it's more comfortable in lip, and the nicotine is sufficient(close to a regular portion). If you wanted to go bigger, I wouldn't go past the 4ml. That'll split the difference between sizes, and wouldn't be too far one way or the other. I like the steel due to it's weight and durability.

                  Edit2:
                  For formatting

Thanks for the tip lxskllr, I'll give those a go on my next order. There definately seems to be a love/hate culture in the world of snus, makes it interesting. Would this include a mandatory joining of Xobe's ranks of the phantom league though? I'm scared

If you look above you will realize the General has already been here and you've been weighed, measured, chipped, tagged and processed for the front lines already.

                                I like cherry snus.

Unfortunately, there is not much of it available. The only two brands I can find are Klondike and Nordic Ice.
