I feel like a little kid on Christmas day

Ok, sorry for the lame topic subject... but my order came!

My girlfriend called me as I was driving back to her apartment after class... and said my Snus arrived! So not only did I turn up the Metallica because I was stoked, I started driving a little faster to get there :P

So I open up the package, and see the fancy box, and crack it open. Inside are 8 cans of my white portion. I rummage through them all, ooing and awing at all the cool cans... then grab the General. I cut open the paper wrapper on the can with my nail, and look at the portions. Wow those are nice looking... compared to something like Skoal pouches (yes, I know they're white portions for a reason haha). I grab one, through it in my mouth, then slide it under my upper lip with my tongue. Right away I feel that nice burn, that went away in a minute or so. After 5 minutes or so I started thinking.. what gives, nothing?! Then 10 minutes... and there it was. A slight nicotine kick, and the flavor starts. Man these are tasty! Peppery... citrusy... salty... awesome flavor... especially after a burrito, haha.

Anyway, my Snusing has officially started. I have had it in for about 40 minutes and don't want to take it out, lol. Pretty good, but can't wait for my los to arrive... for a little extra kick.
I'm thinking about bringing a different can with me to work tonight to see what else I like.

I had to laugh at your post title (and btw, NEVER lame. I LOVE reading the reactions of those new to snus, makes me smile and remember long ago when it was new to me too). I have posted many times before, but even been doing this for two years and I always have plenty on hand, I STILL rip open every new snus package like it is Christmas morning. Then gather up all the snus cans with a huge grin on my face.

Still one of my favorite moments with my snus.

getting a new shipment in is a great feeling! i always get the nic kick within 3 or 4 minutes though. maybe it's because you're using white portions. idk, either way, it's good you enjoyed it

Yeah, I'm thinking it's probably due to the white portions... or could be because I used American dipping tobacco for about 2 years.
Either way... I've got another order that has shipped and should be here in a few days with some Los and regular portions on it

I still feel that way when I get a snus shipment, even if it's all brands that I've tried before. It's so exciting to receive it and organize it in the fridge and know that you have plenty of delicious snus on hand! Congratulations.

For me, white portions release both flavor and nicotine slower. I've been using some General Sterk at night and I've noticed that.

I got the Swedish Match Tasting Kit WHITE Large (8 cans) from buysnus. It came with:

I think I'm going to open the can of Röda Lacket and try that.



On another note, for the experience snusers... would it be bad to try like 3 more portions today? (It's 4pm here... and I work until 3am, just fyi)

No, have fun. I use snus for about 75 minutes at a time, then put in a fresh pris/portion. If you start to feel sick it's time to chill out, but otherwise you can try them all.

I might not be the most experienced, but depending on your tolerance it could be either way. If you're new to tobacco entirely you might want to try one and see how much a buzz you get, and base it off of that. When I first started one lip of dip every few hours kept me nicely buzzed. By the time I was trying snus I've already been smoking cigars regularly and doing Copenhagen quite a bit, so doing a couple portions within 4 hours wasn't too much for me but gave me a small buzz. Now I don't get too big a nic hit unless it's a fresh portion from a new brand or a sterk portion.

If you start to feel queasy then take it out and chill for a bit, then try again later or the next day. Otherwise enjoy!

And just the idea of Snus is awesome!
I used to dip either Skoal, Kodiak, or Grizzly... and would get scared if a Sergeant would come around, haha.

Say you only used one kind of snus all day... would you say you go through a can a day?

I probably use close to 15 or 16 portions a day. Some days a bit more if I am spitting them out more quickly, some days a bit less if I am keeping them in longer. No day with snus for me is ever quite like another day.

And I typically switch between 2 different snus throughout the day. Plus maybe a third when I am at home. And that doesn't count my one or two Elyxr's that start the day, and my Triumph that I always have as my last snus of the day.

Ditto. It actually feels weird to NOT have a portion in, which is a complete 180 from when you first start, and it feels strange to have a teabag full of tobacco shoved in your upper lip. :lol:
