Lucky strikes: pretty much the most unremarkable snus ever?

I just got my third order in (thank god - I'm never ordering on a thursday again). I tried out all of my portions already (gotland, granite, lucky strikes, extra sterk, jakobssons, skruf stark, grov black), and i have to say i'm not at all impressed with the lucky strikes.

I love the tin that it comes in and the classic neat look, but as far as flavor goes... nicht gut. neither is the nic kick. there's nothing remarkable at all about this snus except for the tin. Anybody else feel the same or is it just me?

I agree. I don't get much flavor and the flavor I do get is bitter and acidic. The same goes for Skruf stark. Though the LS can is very cool!

i think i will be trying the LS whites on my next order. LS regulars don't do it for me at all.

Surprising snus of note: Gotland yellow. One of my new favorites. i think i've tried just about all the mainstream big-name snus so far. i still haven't tried the lesser noted snus like pall mall or montecristo.

Penny, I never liked the Lucky Strike regular, but the white is one of my favorites, so go figure. you absolutely MUST try Pall Mall. They are in my top 5 now, especially the regular. Which is kinda funny cause I almost always prefer a white lately. but Pall Mall regular is as close to a perfect snus as I have ever found.

I love the LSR. It's a perfect beer snus for me.

            It runs a little quickly.

I love the bitterness and find that I love the toasty quality without the earthy-ness of ettan. (I love ettan too)

as I've mentioned in another thread packaging is sometimes alot of the battle.

besides that, the fact that lucky strike doesn't have any remarkable distingishing flavor is what makes it good. I pop a flavored snus when I'm feeling up to the task, but If I want to throw it in and forget about it, lucky strike is great.

as far as "go-to" snuses I think it works the best. General is too salty for me and I loved ettan at first, but then I would get distracted with it's flavor

Throw my vote for Lucky Strike White too. It's one of the very few that is an all-day, anytime snus for me. Not overpowering -- and that's a plus.

I've never liked Lucky Strikes (regular portion that is). I hate anything with liquid smoke and always thought Luckies tasted like cardboard. It's a shame because the flavor underneath is pretty nice. Try the whites Sagedil said and ignored him I did until recently. Usually me doesn't like white portions but this one isn't too dry and has way less smoke additive, a very nice little number. Bit like Ettan but with a bit of hazelnut thrown in. Still not as good as Pall Mall though.

I always wonder why people don't listen to me sooner, it would make their lives so much better!!

LS White used to be one of my top favorites, but Pall Mall has bumped it off too for me. Just curious james, do use pall mall regular or white. i am assuming regular. It's funny for me, I almost always prefer the white. but with Pall Mall, it's the opposite. I think the regular is just about my perfect all around snus.

I like the regulars too. Have the whites in the freezer untried.

Me uses the regular Pall Mall, they're not too moist or slimy like the regular Luckies. The whites weren't bad, methinks the sames moisture content as the regular in regards to the tobacco but scratchier material.

I just found the whites to be not as satisfying as the regulars. U use mostly whites so long ago got used to the different material. i just find most regulars get to slimy, juicy, and the flavor starts coming too strong, why I almost always prefer the whites. but it seems if the Pall mall are just dialed back a notch across both of them. So the Regular's hit my sweet spot and the whites are just not enough.

Headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, Fielder & Lundgren is probably the oldest snus manufacturing name in Sweden. Started as a company in 1835, F & L's history has been full of name changes but one thing that has stayed consistent thru out it's 175 year existence, is it's commitment to producing quality Swedish snus.

Even though the company was started in 1835, it was Samuel Fielder who applied for permission to manufacture snus in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1785. Today, Fielder & Lundgren produces
