this great day im talking about, is that here in DK its not always easy to get hold of snus, in your every day baccy store! i buy my loose snus in Copenhagen. and always its been; General, Ettan, Metropol, Skruf. but last week i came across a small shop, not 100 m. frome where i work!!!! and they got Diplomat, offroad and ofcourse some of the other brands, but this guy now orders new kinds of snuff home, so i can try out every new brand that hits the streets of DK!

what a day this was!!! just walking into heaven! :wink:

a small baccy shop on the main street just beside something called likørstrædet. he had all the offroads tins and diplomat last time i was in there, going in there again this week, to get new supplies

Cavy, I know Lyngby Its not very often I go there, but now I might have a reason ...

Normally I buy my snus (løs) at 7-eleven and at Hovedbanegården, but because I also use portion snus I sometimes travel to Malmö and do all my shopping there. Its a nice little trip, I enjoy it very much!

Also Skjold Burne sell snus ... at least the one on Falkoner Allé, Frederiksberg.

i love the fact that it takes me a short walk to that shop! but i do buy my general and ettan at the centreal station (hovedbanegården).

before that i would buy it at WØ Larsen, when i was smoking pipe. i do have a Skjold Burne not to longe away frome my home, so i might try it out and se if they got it there aswell!

Must be nice, I have to buy my snus from overseas. I buy my snus and wait a week for it to arrive.

Oh man, I miss the WØ Larsen shop ... that was really a special place to visit. Even when I stopped smoking I used to go there just for the rich smell of hundreds of tobaccos gathered in this particularly place.

To me it seems that more and more shops i Copenhagen sell snus, and with the upcoming smoking ban I can only imagine even better circumstances for us danish snusers.

Cavy, are you only on the loose?

yeah i miss it alot aswell! i was the last customer there! know one of the baccy blenders from then! it was a great time!

yeah i think its just that, in Norway the sale exploded as the ban of smoking startet. the samme will happen here!

i use portion when working or in town! got a couple of friends that travels to the Sweeden often, so i get them to buy my portions for me. if i want a real mix of different brands, i go my self! its always a fun trip! walking in and ordering 3 of that one, 4 of that one and so on! as a kid in the candy store! :wink:

i use loose at home and when being in the nature!

Pretty much the same as you; when at home or in the woods/by the sea I use loose (consider it to be the snus parallel to sex without condom :wink: ), and when working or in social life I stick to portion.

Yeah, I know that candy store feeling. Thats pretty much an exact description of my occasional trips to Malmö.

Btw, a while ago (december) you could get Diplomat in one of the 7-elevens near Hovedbanen. But only a week after I made the discovery It was gone, and I haven't seen em since ... but it doesn't really bother me as I think its sort of a weak clone of good ol' General.

well i think Diplomat is allright, just for the fun of it, i love rallarsnus most, but its hard to come by. i used to be able to get it in the area where i hunt, but the last couple of times it havent been possible to get. the nearest i can get in that stile is RL, but it dosent have that great taste as rallar has!

Diplomat is best in portion i would say. the loose is ok, but it is a bit on the sweet side for a loose snus. but i like the can, its kind of stilish. 8)

did you tried the metropol?

No, I've never tried Metropol. Maybe its about time. But the one I really want to try is the Rallersnus ... from what I hear it's supposed to be THE snus. You compare it to RL, which makes me even more interested. RL is really good!

well the thing is that metropol has been discontiniued and Diplomat came in its place! i dont think you can get it anymore here in dk. but i was at the hovedbanegård today and they had the Diplomat there now!

rallar is for me the best, its better in taste, has that deep great taste of baccy and lakrids. its perfect in every way, its almost as it cant run! so you can shift it around in the mouth, almost as it was a portion!

Today I visited a Skjold Burne in Næstved and they had some General in the bottom of one of their soda fridges ... very nice! Guess there is more snus out there - even in the smaller cities - than one would think.
