CatchDry Peppermint discontinued

GREAT NEWS - While CatchDry Peppermint has been discontinued, it will be replaced with General Dry Mini Mint and will be identical in flavor, size, and moisture content. The only change is the brand name. Look for it mid-December 2008.



If anyone on this forum uses CatchDry Peppermint (which I'm sure is only a small portion... no pun intended), it now has a new name!

I wish Swedish Match would come out with a truly proper peppermint (say that three times fast!)....I'd be on board for that.

That would be cool. General Wintergreen is excellent and I would like to see a regular sized peppermint flavor as well.

I always thought that the name "Catch" had more weight among newbies than the name "General" (for what reason ever), though I personally have tried almost every brand in the General-line (without becoming a fan) but have never tried anything with the name "Catch".

I don't know why Swedish Match is discontinueing the Catch-line, but the whole dry-white-portion-thing seems like nonsense to me, as if it is only developed to attract first time users but not snus-enthusiasts.

The Catch line was developed for people that wanted a flavored snus without the taste of tobacco. It's mainly used by females in Sweden and Norway. I've never tried any Catch snus and don't plan on it. It's probably similar to Camel and Marlboro snus.

It is not similar at all Very Swedish, the taste is never fake or overwhelming

I am not much of a fan, but ain't nothing like Camel. :lol:
