Looking for Suggestions Based on My Current Faves

Hello there,

This will be my first post here.

I currently like:

General Wintergreen
Gotlandssnus Flader
Gotlandsnnus Original

Also, I have been looking for a good liquorice flavor and I've tried both
Offroad and Catch

I liked the Catch more than Offroad but I'd like something that has a more hearty flavor. I like all kinds of licorice, especially imported specialty stuff.

I've tried Camel and Skoal and found Camel to be superior but it also seems to be really heavy on flavor and I can't help but think that it's there to "dumb-down" snus for the American market.

Any other suggestions would be helpful.

LD Black is the best licorice portion imo. Pure licorice, and silky smooth. I'd also recommend Taboca(in the blue metal tin, not the American kind), and Jakobsson's in both varieties.

If you want liquorice, I'd suggest Gotlands Grey - excellent quality stuff. I'll confess I've never tried LD Black, mind you.

Gotland Grey is fantastic also. It's more herbal though, and not as licoricey. I like them both, and change them up depending on mood.

Roda Lacket
Goat Rape Original and #2
Gustavus original

LD Black - Its the only way to go for Licorice flavor...I usually hate licorice, but I loooove LD Black!

It may not be licorice, but if you're into the Gotlands I recommend that you get a roll of the Julesnus Los ASAHFP. I have yet to find a snus so perfect.

There is a difference between the two. Anise is a seed and licorice is a legume according to Wiki.
I associate the Anis portions with the sharp high notes of ouzo. Almost like a vapor that floats into the nasal cavity.
American licorice candy tastes flatter and earthier to me. Maybe it's the other ingredients.

I looked at the LD Black and had to run away, $34.95 for 20 poritions, did I read that right?

Any good alternatives to the Wintergreen you could recommend?

I am well aware of what anise is as most of the hookah tobacco I smoke cntaibs Anise. For simplicity sake I called it black licorice because thats what my american counterparts most closely identify with regarding taste and smell of Aniseed.
