Strong portions

I started out with loose, and my first pris was of skruf stark. I used to use it as my morning snus, then regular loose throughout the day. When I started using portions for meetings and other events, I was using LD Black. I had to use two at a time to get a real satiation. I used N & J and General Sterk for a while, but now I just order General Ekstra Sterk. It's the one portion that gives me as much nicotine as I get in a pris of loose. I must have high tolerance because it didn't give me headspin, although I could feel the slight ache in my jaw when I first did it. The only snus that's made my head spin recently was when I lower lipped a big pinch of OR LC Wintergreen. I'm glad for the sterk and ekstra sterk varieties and don't see myself switching.

As I mentioned in my first post, thus far my favorite is general onyx. I was curious as to how the regular general compares flavor-wise. I find that the onyx has a great amount of nicotine for when I am stressed out or whatnot, but I think a little too much for regular use.

Also a silly question that has probably been asked before but I couldn't find a post that had it, what the heck is the point of the snus catcher lid? Just curious.

Onyx is fairly different than regular General. It's lemon flavor is stronger, and brighter, and it has a touch of licorice. General is a darker lemon flavor, more salt, more pepper, no licorice.

The extra lid is for used portions when you don't have access to a trashcan.

Ahh that makes sense, thanks for the info. Btw, good to see you here lxskllr. I am definately going to have to try the regular general, the thing I love about the onyx is the peppery flavor. I think I would really love the general.

It's good seeing you here too :^) Snus and snuff are perfect companions imo. They each fill a small void, and make an almost complete tobacco package. I still like the occasional cigarette, and I've thought about starting pipe smoking again, but I'm pretty happy with snus and snuff.

For something General like, I prefer Granit, and drifting a little further from the General profile, Gotland Gul is very nice... My favorite actually :^)

Onyx is my probably my favorite Swedish Match portion, though Ettan and Grov are very good also(but totally different)

I am going to have to try both of those, along with every other snus I can get my hands on lol. I did before still find myself having a cigarette or so on occasion, but I think with snus now added to my intake I can finally completely crush my cig urges. I think snus will help with the oral part of smoking, and not to mention it has a much stonger nic hit than snuff does. Snuff is great for relaxing at home. I also enjoy that I can snus at work without anyone even noticing.

I currently have 2 Nick & Johnnys in with a nose full of Gawith Apricot. Very relaxing.

I just had my first Offroad Cranberry Strong portion.

It's really pretty good. Much better than I expected.

I killed a couple of cans of Skruf Tranbar recently and was hesitant to have another flavored snus.

Offroad and Skruf have different interpretations of "cranberry" for sure.

I also wanted to give the strong portion a shot since Skruf tranbar is not strong.

Nice tingle, mild flavor, shitty portion material..

I have come to really enjoy the cranberry stong at work. It tastes good, has a nice nic hit, isn't bulky at all under the lip, and if I end up having to toss it early I don't mind since it is soooo cheap. I wouldn't consider it one of my favorites but it does what it was intended to do. One exception would be last portion of it I had at work yesterday. For some reason it just tasted horrid. I am going to log that one off as one bad portion. No big deal except I didn't have a spare on me so had to wait till I got home. Really made me appreciate my nightly portion of onyx though.

Glad to hear that since I just ordered couple of cans and had no idea how good/bad it was going to be (although good snus is never bad!)

It's gonna be different than any other snus you have had. Offroad, is, well different. This was one of the first snuses I used, depended on it and the Offroad strong licorice they used to have from about week 3 through week 10 of my snus usage. Still get a can every six months cause I like to remember those days.
