Just noticed Vertigo to be discontinued

I just noticed this but its been out for a couple weeks. Didn't see a topic on it so.... here it is.

    From swedishsnus.com (news section):

    Important information about Vertigo
    (26 Sep 2008)

This is to inform you that Vertigo Cuba Gold and Vertigo Bahama Velvet will be discontinued in November 2008, due to low sales volumes.

We recommend General and Catch mini instead.

There go two other brands, that many people seemed to love! These brands are so new, how can Swedish Match know that they wouldn't be a success in the long run?

I wonder, whether Fredrik Ljunglöf in 1822 really had success within the first 8 months of selling Ettan.

How can they expect that people are even interested in trying new brands, when most new brands seem to soon get discontinued again. Just think of N&J Lös!

A strange kind of marketing, what Swedish Match does!

    Cheers!

That's too bad. I thought they were rather tasty, but too small for me. I agree with chainsnuser. They need to give these brands more time in the market to see what they can do. It can take years to develop a solid user base for a new product, especially for something like snus which is rather new for women anyway.

While I did try the Vertigo Cuba Gold (which wasn't bad) but Not one I would have purchased again.

Mocca + tobacco just is so good. I am considering trying other F & L offerings.
