I read at SM's site that they did a study and found that when they decreased the nicotine content of the snus that some snusers were using, their use pattern stayed the same but their nicotine intake decreased proportionally, showing that users didn't compensate for lower nicotine levels.
It makes me wonder because I've found myself liking to do some portions recently (I had to try some General Sterk and I picked up some more LD Black) and when I do them, I don't snus more often to make up for the decreased nicotine. I mean, I eventually throw in a pris of los and remember why I like los so much better, but still... interesting.

one surefire way is to quit snus entirely and do no other kind of nic for 2 weeks or so, the first pris will get you high like a mother-f'er.
Personally I can't hold out that long, hence I keep a steady supply flowing.

Genuine, Ditto on the Scruf Stark. Until they get the mini memo, though, try Mocca+ tabac flavor. 6 mg Vit N each. Similar to Scr Stark flavor. Post-AM all day use (alternate with Mocca+ Euch) heads off the craves w/o headaches

Originally posted by XobelootOddly enough, my experience went the opposite direction.
I was using near 2/3-3/4 a can of los a day, and needed to to feel normal. Then, what seemed like overnight, I tried using my usual amounts of snus and it practically made me miserable. Tired, no energy, etc.
Now I use a fraction of what I was using and feel just the same. It is almost as if my body just said "DUDE! Quit it with the mass quantities of nicotine!"
I have ordered Wise citrus/menthol and Wine & Chef 6 mg. but may have to go down further as I am experiencing headaches.
Too bad because I really like the portions that have 11mg nicotine, and have many in the freezer.
How are the Tre Ankare mini portins?

Guest repliedI guess the 1st thing would be to change the part of the tobacco leaf they use to that which has more nicotine (as I think Skruf do) and then crank the burn up, up and up to increase the nicotine absorption :O

I'm curious to know just how much nicotine you can get in snus... There has to be a limit to the nicotine content... Unless they artificially add nicotine similar to alcohol in fortified "wine"...

Funny. I wonder whether alcohol can reduce the effects of Nicotine? I had quite a few beers Friday and Saturday night and the Skruf Stark hardly touched me the following days but not having drank anything yesterday today my 1st Skruf Stark of the day hit me like a sledgehammer
Yeah, I think drinking reduces the effect, or at least blends it a little. Sort of like being able to go through a pack of smokes during a night of heavy drinking.

Could u imagine if Skruf tried to one up it to retain the heavy weight title.

I mean where will this end?
Im sure when General Extra Stark is available then someone will try to one up them going to maybe 16 then youll hit the .5 increments, i mean their has to be a ceiling somewhere without making you heart explode.

I found myself at work today with a Stonewall in my bottom lip, a Wise citrus/menthol in the top left, and a Taboca portion in the top right. I think it's time to move to sterk exclusively! But I have smokeless ADD, I like variety. I'm currently upper-lipping Longhorn longcut, made by Pinkerton, a SM NA company. it's only $2.00 a can here and to me tastes comparable to RedMan or Grizzly which is a bit more expensive. Funny and kind of OT, but before I started snus I looked down on American dips as "white trash", but now that I realized that upperlip=no spit with the stuff, just like snus, I've been trying different kinds. At a local smokeshop the Timber Wolf pouches, "wolf packs" are only .99c a can, the mint is good, but the w.green has a gross aftertaste and fouls my breath.

Only noobs get nic buzzes! Once you're addicted, the "buzz" will eventually diminish. Like I've said before, your brain will adapt to nicotine and will not be affected like it used to; this will make you require a certain dose of nicotine per day, or you will experience withdrawal symptoms!
